"Rawhahaha!" The sharp, keen look in Justyn's eye did almost as much as any sharp insult spoken, the piercing gaze left the foes dumbfounded. Justyn didn't have the energy to waste concentrating on a specific vermin too long. His blade parried many attacks, and right after each attack, he used a fatal counter... It didn't matter now, even if he left them alive at this point they would probably die from the agony, even as their medics searched in vain for them among the slain after the fight. He would rather them die quickly... Strangely there was still a bit of light left in him... It wouldn't let him conduct himself unrighteously. This he was just beginning to realize, like the first glimpse of the first ray of dawn, the small yet immovable piece of him that would forever make him Justyn.

the vermin began a full retreat and Thaddius roared as they left "COME BACK HERE YOU SNIVELING BILGE DWELLERS!" Thaddius dropped to one knee killing a half dead vermin by shoving impaling his head on his sword."Well friend now what?"

slash behind the neck, in the heart, and up through the jaw and the last few vermin fell. Justyn fell backward atop the dead bodies of the vermin. He'd collected numerous cuts and scratches, not to mention the sizable gash in his back. Everything was going hazy, the fog had cleared by now and the clouds seemed to dance in circles with the birds of the air... With the crows...
"Ahh, Thadd, We have more company, we need to hide in the forest quick-like."

Thaddius Nodded "aye" his blood was cooling from a boiling point. His injuries didn't help him keep from madness. He stood sheathed his weapons and pulled out his bow and started firing at the next wave that was coming "lets go" Thaddius paused his firing for a moment and offered his paw to Justyn.

Justyn took it with his right hand, and with the circling force he was creating coming up, spun around and attempted to throw Thaddius into the woods.
"Go on Mate" Justyn grinned over his soldier at his friend. Justyn quickly grabbed his weapons laying about, the vermin were about ten minutes away, and the crows, two at the most.

Thaddius dug his foot in after the first stumble forward. "No" Thaddius turned around and faced Justyn. "neither of us will leave here alone" Thaddius pulled out his bow and dropped to a knee and started unleashing a hail of rapidly fired arrows at the coming storm.

Justyn scoffed, "You never were one for charity, were you?" He quickly bandaged his wounds with a salve that he had come up with, and some strips of fresh linen. It was a bit hard though, the major wound on his back. Nevertheless, Justyn managed. About five minutes into the time-limit, He was ready to walk back to the cover of the forest. "C'mon mate, don't have much time."

Thadd nodded with a smirk "Aye mate." Thaddius shot a few more arrows into the coming mob before turning around to retreat. "need some help there you yellow bellied stoat?" Thaddius said with a wink as he put his arm around Justyn to help him get weight off his leg.

"oh, ha, ha, yeah, real funny mate, only dyin' of a mortal wound 'ere, nothin' big." Justyn winced at the shock of the weight coming of his leg, and began hobbling with Thaddius's help to the edge of the forest. The birds had spotted them, not only had they been spotted, but these birds seemed especially competitive with each other, the break in the birds concentration may have been the only bit of luck needed the whole day for Justyn and Thaddius.

Thaddius helped Justyn as they escaped into the forest going towards the fort. They where both injured in multiple places some injuries pretty bad. They had to get out of there, but the vermin would catch them if they didn't do anything about it. "Well mate what say ye? Into the trees head for the river or... the crazy option?"

"Crazy. Did you need to ask?" Justyn's left eye was closed in a permanent wince at the moment, but as he grunted the reply he was smiling in spite of his pain. The sounds of the vermin were closing in on them, probably about three minutes away, the birds began to realize that their prey was escaping, and decided to ignore each other or they definitely wouldn't have anything after all. They began to swoop down towards the entrances of the forest, if you could call it swooping, after all, there wasn't too much airspace with the branches and leaves sticking out this way and that.
