Seems like I'll have more than just a sword as my battlefield companion in the future eh?

"Well, yeah... Makes me think about bayonets. We're gonna have a lot of options with this... But I'd rather make the action than daydream, daydreaming is your job."

Really? I thought my job was making sure the things dont blow up in the user's faces... That and handleing the majority of the building work...

"No, no, that's mine too. Pressure gauge say anything to you?" That was Linx's. Not Raiden's. So much for that guy helping not blow it up.

Considering it's my design and my units I'm basically gutting for these new weapons, I believe I do plenty of building... Not to mention until the module system is fully ready, I have to attach the barrels before the guts go in.

"I was talking about making the weapon not blow up there, not building. You builder. You build." Attach the barrels? What's he going on about?...

Try saying that if the metal I use in the prototype is flawed and if I over-pressured the bottle... But you'd have to find a lot of me first...
**Rubbing a burn on his right paw, Raiden sighed.**
Do you know how hard it is for me to attach the barrels to the empty base unit?

"...Have you ever welded anything before?" Linx would just melt a piece of metal and solder it on... Raiden was probably doing more traditional smithing, though.

That includes welding... I've got to make the barrels, make the holes in the unit for them to attach, and then wled them down securely... BOTH sides ot the front plate.

Davius felt he had to intervene somehow
"OK you two breal it up. Raiden, deal with this another time, we're on duty now. Uh... What's that?"
The noise Davius was refering to was a metalic "Clink" coming from below them.

"The... I know we're not standing on the gatehouse." Grapnel?

**Raiden nodded once before speaking.**
Right.
**Strapping onto his right wrist something that looked like the Flechette launcher without either mag, the mouse lifted a pair of bolt leavers singley before sliding them forwards and locking the leavers down again. Where there had been blank, featureless metal, there was now a pair of long steel blades, curved and serrated, the wristblades glinted dully in the light.**
Time to cut that line and have some fun listening for splats eh?

"Go ahead... I don't see a grapnel, actu-" A grapnel flew over the crenel next to Linx. He narrowly avoided being impaled on one of the prongs. "Cut that thing."

One moment...
**Raiden waited for about two minutes while several vermin were almost all the way up before sliding the serrated blades under the rope and pulling. With an audiable "twang", the rope parted and sent the climbers tumbleing down.**
See? Boring... They are no fun unless they've gained the walls...

"Spoke too soon..."
Two more grapnels had flown over onto the walltops, latching onto the wall. Davius looked over the wall for a split second. He saw a few dark shapes, but mostly a blur as an arrow shot up at him. He ducked in time, but hit his head upon the wall as he did so.
"That does it."
Swinging his guard's Halberd, He brought it down onto the rope, severing it in one.
"Whoo that felt good."
