**Fishrudder jumped into the fray, course there were only two left. A young rat jumped at him, Fishrudder slashed at an upward angle towards the rat, leaving a long deep gash across the rat's chest. The rat looked down and then gurgled and died.** OOC: I know, I don't know what to call it

OOC: Is it pneumatic or what? How is the mainspring driven back? Also, how does this work?

OOC: Just go with it, forget it Linx

OOC: @fishy: Zwei-hander is just a group... Not an actual sword. Just call it a Broadsword. Linx Exotic: I haven't worked thet bit out... I assume there's some sort of action on the back. BIC: Well... Seems like everything works well. How do you like your sword and bow then?

OOC: You know I refuse to believe that ANYTHING is valid without an explanation. You need one.

OOC: Linx Exotic: Like I said... Not totally worked it out yet. But with the spring location, it's more than likely that there's gonna be an action on the back. Captain Fishrudder: No I didn't Rai's gonna get the last one... He WAS letting you take 'im, but since you insist... BIC: **Turning slightly, Raiden loosend the length of chain on both his sword's pommel and his belt. Throwing a knife-like dagger attached to the end, Raiden watched it strike the fleeing rat in the neck before he reeled the Kunai back in.** Well... I see I still have the touch.

OOC: I mean, what drives the spring back? Weights, that would require the gun being absolutely level with the ground for it to effectively drive the spring back and it would still have to be reeled back up. What are you doing?

OOC: Since there is no black powder to create the recoil method of full-auto, there are two metal weights the springs hit that are each against a slightly stronger spring to counter the force and pushe the weights against the firing springs again to fire the weapon.

OOC: They'd settle in the middle, find a balance between the forces of the two springs and be still. Regardless of if they have weights on them. If Linx could do that instead of compressed air he would.
An action that allows semi- or full-auto requires a force to drive back the mainspring, and since apparently that mainspring is what directly propels the projectile in this case, that force has to be pretty strong. What is it?

OOC: Like I said; No black powder for the blowback system, so I'm using a counter weight system to counter the force of the plate set in front of the main spring that forces the dart out the barrels quite rapidly. It's the top half of this plate pushing against the weights that provide the compression in the stronger pair of springs to force the action back. I'm gonna have to use animation shop for the first time to explain it, aren't I?

OOC: Probably. But what I was just saying is, there's no way to counter the mainspring with another spring. Regardless of counterweights. The two springs will find an equilibrium and stay put, unless you have a new spring for every single round.

OOC: The counterspring is more powerful than the main spring, but the mainspring has the initial momentum in it's favour. The counterweight absorbs this and transfers that momentum to the counter spring which pushes the weight back against the now-spent force of the main spring to reload the weapon. If I could, I'd mount a compressed air tank on the side insted of the counter spring, but that'd complicate matterers in fireing.

OOC: I just said that part about the equilibrium, right? The weight might be swung back and forth a few times but certainly without enough force to fire anything and eventually it would settle in the middle.

Fishrudder chuckled and said. "Want to find more?" He looked around at the surronding area, to the north was the forest, to the south, Salamandastron. OOC: STOP THAT! Discuss it over pm
