"Its ok Linx. No need to by sorry." Ellich stayed by Linx and kept an eye on Mokwa. He didnt know what that monitor was going to do next.

"Well, your shop is... You know, out of business..." Linx's own business was booming to the point of his having exports to every military trade center with a link to the fort. He couldn't imagine it being any other way for anyone else; the squirrel he loved losing his business was devastating.
Mokwa didn't mean to be rude, but he was cracking open a book anyway. Nothing comforted him like some nice pages of text.

"Exactly... It's kind of sad how I let it all happen. I ruined my parents and now my shop. Figures... Whatever though maybe I could work at yours or somthing... I dont know.." Ellich started getting mad at himself.

"Well, it really isn't your fault with the shop, like I said, there's gotta be at least six general stores in the marketplace! No way none of them can drop out... In any case, you're welcome to do some time at my shop, I can always use another employee and pay is actually pretty good. 25 a week, plus a slice of any purchases above 20 coins. It's a pretty good deal, eh?" Linx felt his inner entrepreneur take the reins. He could afford to throw money at his employees.

"Whatever..." Ellich was down on himself onw for bringing up that thought. He put his hand on his forhead as if he had a headache. Ellich didnt, but rubbing his head always felt better.

Linx noticed but disregarded this. It looked more like body language than a sign of an actual headache. "So you can show up at my house anytime, I'll... I'll have some more keys made and you can pick them up there, OK?"

"Yeah, I wonder how much my old home will go for," Dengoro mused. "I'd guess about... Thirty? Twenty-five?"
"Sounds like a pile of sticks." Linx couldn't believe the skunk thought that his home was so derelict. Then again, he'd never actually seen it himself. "I'd invite you over now but I'm just so exhausted..."

"Heh we both have a reason. Swimming does take a lot out of you doesnt it..." Ellich turned his attention back to Mokwa just for a moment to see what he was up to. Nothing much. He was still reading a book.

"Swimming? Actually, I'm pretty good at swimming, I'm all over that river in the summer. Alone at times, too!" Linx gave Ellich his playful grin while scratching the back of his neck. He seemed to have a tendency to... Take beasts places. Very often.

"Yeah..." Ellich blanked out for a moment in thought. Losing the shop still meant a lot to him... It didnt really matter now though. Now he could live with Linx!

"I'm still tired, though, really... You guys are free to stay if you like, but I'd like to sleep." Linx moved downwards in the bed a little, so he was actually laying down. He made no implication at all of their leaving the bed... At least, he didn't try to.
Dengoro instinctively cuddled up against Linx's side, relishing what warmth he could absorb. "Sleep away," he murmured. This mouse had just given him another shot at life; plenty of reason to like him.

Ellich smiled. "You do that Linx. I'll see you later..." At that Ellich stood and started walking out the door. He was considering the running away act, but it would be stupid in this situation.

Mokwa rose to lock the door after Ellich. Interrupted my book reading...
"Dengoro, I didn't expect you to..." Linx didn't even finish his sentence before falling asleep.
