Ublaz Mad Eyes, one of the five coolest villains in Redwall. He's in The Pearls of Lutra. Still my favorite book, I think.
Third was Atunra, the wildcat warlord's advisor in High Rhulain.

He was the Emperor of Sampetra and master of an army of monitor lizards. He could hypnotize beasts and lizards alike. He was a famous swordsman. He ruled the seas with his own personal small fleet. He had a pet coral snake. He was every badass cliche in one character.
He was awesome sauce in a can.

Hey! Not you, too!
Well, yeah, he was. I remember staring at that picture of him at chapter heading (What chapter was it?) for about 5 minutes.

Though Gabool, Slagar, and Vilu are probably also up there with my favorites, along with the Marlfoxes. I don't know, I just have a thing for flashy, eccentric villains who mask their cunning and ruhlessness with ego and insanity. (Don't suppose you've met Auric Ashtongue?)Though to be fair, Gabool and Slagar WERE insane, and Vilu may've been that vain. Note I don't list Ungatt Trunn, who seriously goes overboard with the flash and half his captains desert him when they realize just how incompetent he really is beneath the grand displays.
To avoid going off topic, you'll note with Auric, he loves to imitate that sort of personality, despite being far less sinister than his idols. Veil is EXTREMELY utilitarian for a villain, though he wears a mask due to being disfigured. Blackheart is even less visually startling. He simply has black fur and a nasty personality.

What did you dislike about Slagar? Everyone else usually says he's BJ's best villain.

I hated how he was not a real bad guy. I mean he never ever had single combat and the bad guy normaly has single combat with the good guy like cluny and mattias martin and tsmarnia and brocktree and ungatt trunn. Like that he never had it it was the malkaris dude person that was more of the main bad guy.

Is that why you dislike Gabool, because he never dueled Mariel?

Well, Ublaz duels the hero in Pearls of Lutra, so you should like it. And he doesn't really go insane.
