It means he was knocked unconscious and his brain supplied him with a near-death, out-of-body experience. Perhaps his heart stopped for a while, at most, but his brain had enough oxygen to keep running.

If you die that means you can't come back to life, as in, actually dying, not clinically dying (as in your heart stopping).

But CPR is technechly resurecting the person. Acording to my health teacher you do CPR when someones heart stops. But its instantly so they live.

That's after clinically dying, i.e. the heart stopping. Actually dying is when your brain runs out of oxygen, which can happen some time after your heart stops.
