Linx turned back to Lore with an exasperated sigh. "I hate trying to talk to two beasts at once. Uh, I could go with you, or you could go, or whatever. This isn't working."

Lore opened her mouth to reply. She felt like leaving, but she knew that Skyrl would not leave her by herself, thus creating difficulties. She was at a loss for words, and this did not go unnoticed by Skyrl, who, true to his nature, began needling her. "What's the matter, Lore? Do you want to go off with your little mousy boyfriend? Or are you afraid of what I'll think, and can't think of a way to turn him down?" Skyrl laughed without pity.
Lore whirled around and turned on Skyrl, shouting, "Stay out of this, Skyrl! I can do what I want with my own friends!"
In response, Skyrl slappd Lore full across the face, sending her crashing to the floor. Skyrl's ire was now fully aroused.

OOC: Last post for the night.
BIC: "I hate to police the situation... Wait, no I don't." Linx had drawn his CLOS and had it pointed directly at Skyrl's head, at safe enough a distance to prevent himself from being disarmed. "This is the part where you step away. Slowly."
Archon watched rather helplessly. His armaments were all melee.

From where she had fallen after Skyrl had slapped her, Lore grimaced and mutttered, "It's too late, Linx. The situation has already escalated. I'm sorry, this is my fault. I brought Skyrl here, and now look what's happened. I think we should go, and you shouldn't follow us, Linx."
Skyrl bared his teeth at Linx. "Oh, look at the little mousy with his toy. Am I supposed to be frightened?"
(OOC) Right.

"...Actually, yeah, you should. You should also be backing away. Unlike most beasts I'm actually willing to pull the trigger." Linx was keeping it trained on Skyrl's lower center mass now, so if he advanced he'd get a bullet in the gut.

**Sinthin watched quietly as the scene unfolded. There was nothing he could. Well he could do one thing. He moved silently around to cover the door, that way if the fox broke free, he wouldn't get through the door**

Archon was doing a similar thing for the stairs. He had drawn his stepped sword and had walked backwards a few steps up the stairs, pretty much entirely preventing an escape from there.
Linx was still holding his CLOS level. "Back away, slowly, now."

"Do what they tell you, Skyrl. Don't be the fool, for once in your life." Lore had stood up again, and her stance clearly showed that she had had enough of Skyrl and his wiles.
Skyrl retreated a short distance, but he allowed his paw to stray to a dagger he had concealed beneath his clothes. Perhaps he would be shot dead, but at least he could wound someone.
"Be ready, Linx! He is armed." Lore was fully aware of what Skyrl had on him, but she was also aware that none of what he carried would stand up to Linx's CLOS. This scene could prove interesting for her and the other Fort members, but disastrous for Skyrl if he did indeed act.

"Put your paws in the air. Again, slowly." Linx was keeping it trained on Skyrl's chest, right below the ribcage. If he did anything he'd suffer at least a potentially lethal wound.

Skyrl did so, as though he were completely indifferent to the scene. "Anything else you want done, mouse? Perhaps I should jump in the air? Would that satisfy you?"

"No jumping, just get prone so I can pry every single weapon you have off your person. Sound good? Don't care."

"Fine, fine. Whatever you want." Skyrl prostrated himself on the floor, still keeping up the facade of not caring. Inside he was seething. "These stupid Fort beasts! I'll get back at them later by punishing Lore. This is, after all, her fault," thought Skyrl.

"Actually, I don't want to risk getting disarmed, Archon, feel up to it?" Linx didn't even make eye contact with his mate. He was keeping his CLOS trained on Skyrl.
"Sounds fine with me..." Archon advanced forwards cautiously, making sure Linx had him covered as he approached and made a standard weapons check on Skyrl. What he found...

(OOC: Gotta go, one last post.)
(BIC) ...What Archon found was something no one expected, and also what was found revealed Skyrl's treacherous and vile nature. Beneath Skyrl's layers of clothing were three daggers that at first glance, appeared normal, but were really covered in an almost invisible layer of some kind of poisoned substance. These daggers were a sure sign of treachery and a hidden agenda. As the searching continued, Skyrl's ire continued to be raised, but at the moment, there was nothing he could do about it. But soon.....

Sinthin moved forward and said, actually in a strong voice, the first time since he had been here. "Give those to me, they are my kind of weapons, vermin like this have no need for them" He took a step forward
