Lagg walked into the sickbay room. Hoping that Mokwa was awake, so he could visit his mate. He knocked on the door to Mokwa's room, hoping the monitor would answer. "Hello? Mokwa? It's me, Lagg! I wanted to see if you could be visited!" said Lagg. He then thought about the last sentence, and hit his forehead. "Well, duh, I can see him! The nurse allowed me to come see him!!" thought Lagg, as he waited patiently for an answer.

"C'mon in..." Mokwa had been assigned a room of his own; even after all the renovations the sickbay had received over the months, growing from a one-room facility to a compound-like, well-organized complex, this was a rarity. He had spent the better part of the day sitting there and doing nothing. Nobody had given him anything to do and he wasn't about to find something within those walls. Feeling destroyed as he was, nothing was helping. "I'll welcome anyone."

Lagg opened the door, and walked into Mokwa's bedroom. He looked at the monitor who seemed that he wished he wasn't here. "Hey, how are you doing?" asked Lagg, as he walked over to the bed-ridden lizard.

"I'm not actually stuck here, but I'm a wreck anyway..." Mokwa's head was swathed with bandages covering the gaping wound on the back of his head. It made him look slightly ridiculous, but he cared about his appearance as much as he cared about a random blade of grass in the flatlands. "There were two of them and, uh, you've heard this. Whatever."

"Actually, all I heard was that you were beaten, that was it. Then I came over here as fast I could!" explained Lagg. "You don't have to explain now though, you probably want to get your rest!" said Lagg. Even though Mokwa probably already rested so much!

"OK, look. I wasn't just beaten, all right?" Mokwa gingerly touched the back of his head. It was still aching so badly that he was questioning his own sanity. "There were two of them, squirrels. They clubbed me and knocked me out or... Stunned me or whatever... I know I was conscious for the whole thing. And I got to relate it to the sentinels. Several times."

"Ouch..." said Lagg, as he rubbed the back of his own head. "..do you need anything?" asked Lagg. Without thinking, he had actually grabbed Mokwa's paw. "You know I'll get you anything!"

Mokwa winced as he felt Lagg gripping the cuts on his paw, which had yet to heal fully. All he wanted to have was peace, but this wasn't easy to convey. "Like what? I'm just... Here... I'd be out if it weren't for the head wound, they want to monitor me..." He didn't even get his own joke, as it was unintentional.

Lagg acted like he was coughing to hide the laughter from the joke that Mokwa made. He knew this was a serious time for his mate, and he tried his best to have a serious face on. Lagg released his grip on Mokwa's paw, and wanted to do something for Mokwa, anything! "Are...you sure?" asked Lagg. He knew the answer was yes, but still felt the need to do something.

Mokwa gave Lagg a disdainful look when the otter started 'coughing'. He was no fool and had to strain himself to remain calm upon realizing that his mate was laughing; he just couldn't tell why. "What do you want to do? I got violated by a couple of squirrels. What are you gonna do for me now? I can't even..."

"'Well' what? You don't expect me to do 'that' here, do you?" asked Lagg. "I mean, what if a nurse or doctor came in, and saw me doing it with you?" Lagg knew he would be embarresed, and most likely never do that sort of thing again. Even if it was to Mokwa.

"I'm not talking about that," Mokwa sighed in exasperation. Apparently, 'that' was now the answer to every dilemma in the book, and then some. It wouldn't have worked anyway, which he decided to voice, albeit shakily. "I can't get myself to that state anymore anyway. You heard me correctly..."

Lagg was in shock, at what Mokwa said. "A-Anymore!? What do you mean?!" asked Lagg. He started to get tear eyed at the thought of not being able to do their favorite thingy no more. "Are you sure? Maybe the doctors or nurses are mistaken! Ya, that's it! They must have read the charts wrong!" said Lagg, trying to shake off the bad thought.

"Read the charts wrong? What are you talking about? No. I used to be able to get myself to climax with thought if I really tried. ...And now nothing does anything." It would be a bit of a blow to house life because Mokwa was, after all, revered amongst the residents as the owner of the largest reproductive organs around. With that ability gone, things would be a lot less fun for him as well as others. "Nothing. Nothing, Lagg, as if I can get in the mood when I feel this destroyed around that topic..."

Lagg's ears drooped, his whole body felt like it was falling. "...Mokwa..! I'm so sorry!" said Lagg. He now wanted to give Mokwa a long, long hug, but he stopped himself short for he might give Mokwa pain. Tears started to come down his face. "It..won't be the same. It's like...I now have a new mate..instead of the old one..." said Lagg.
