"It's like you have a mate who lost a physical capability, OK? Can you make me feel any worse about this?" Mokwa was near tears himself. The whole ordeal was unbearable and the added stress with Laggerung didn't help at all. "The first beast to visit me is devastated by the fact that I can't satisfy him. Great!"

Lagg wiped his tears off his face. "No..it's not that. I just can't imagine...you living your life that way." said Lagg. He wanted to say something else, but everytime he tried to, he would choke up on them.

"Neither... Neither can I..." Mokwa would have hugged Laggerung if he could have, even though the cuts on his arms were still there and vulnerable. Tears coursed freely down his face as he tried and failed to cope with the fact that he was going to live an indefinite period of time unable to participate in something he'd come to find necessary in his daily live. "I'm not gonna get to go to my own birthday party..." Those things are always just gatherings for hedonism.

"Ya, and if it makes you better." said Lagg. "I won't do anything either. If you go through this with none of 'that' stuff. Then I won't either." Lagg didn't relize the bold face he was saying to Mokwa. And he didn't know if it was the right thing either.

"It's in... Three months or something, anything is possible. But I'm a mess right now. I can't turn my neck..." Mokwa had been facing forwards the entire time. His eyes were all he had to change his view. "What are you here for, Lagg? Are you here to watch me suffering?"

"No..I'm not here to watch you suffer. I was here to see you. I thought you wanted company!" said Lagg. He didn't know if Mokwa was getting annoyed by him being there, or if it was the pain talking. "Mokwa, you'll ge-..no, we'll get through this." said Lagg. "And I just want to support you along the way."

"OK, have fun." Mokwa rubbed his eyes with his index fingers; the tears had stopped on their own and now his eyes felt irritated. "How are you gonna do it? I'm still... They haven't caught those two squirrels, you know, they left the fort before the alert could be raised for the guards are the gates. Thank Lars for that, he took, what, ten minutes to get the sentinels screening traffic?"

Lagg stood up, firey hatred in his eyes. "I'll kill'em. They messed with the wrong Monitor." said Lagg. He took out his weapon, the dirk. "And the wrong otter. Just give the word, and I'll be out that door faster than you can say 'Lagg! No! Stop! The pleasures to much!'" said Lagg.

"Do you know where they are?" Mokwa sighed in frustration as he watched Laggerung drawing his dirk. "Put that thing away, it's illegal to brandish a weapon in here... And they've already left the fort, we have no idea where they are now. There's no point in searching for them, there are squirrels like those two all over the place... What they left on, around and... In me doesn't point to an actual identity." The situation there had become entirely hopeless.

"I don't care if I go to jail becuase I took this out!" said Lagg. "I want to take revenge on those two squirrels for what they did!" Lagg really did want revenge, and he didn't care what the consequences were. He then sighed knowing that it would be pointless. He dropped his dirk, and sat on the chair.

"What are you gonna do? They already left. Pick up your dirk and put it in its sheath before you accidentally step on it or something," Mokwa sighed. The whole conversation was exasperating him; he was no longer interested in talking about the two squirrels who had done to him what they'd done. "They're gone. No revenge for you."

Lagg deeply sighed, and picked up the dirk and sheathed it in it's place. "So..what now?" asked Lagg. Hope was lost from his body. And the same was said for all his other good emotions. "...are you hurting or anything?"

"Huh, such a good question..." Mokwa was in more than enough pain for him to want to talk about; however, a will to keep the otter from becoming even more distressed than he already was kept him from mentioning that. "Nothing you can allieviate," the monitor conceded eventually.

"Do you want me to leave you? So you can rest?" asked Lagg. He felt an awkwardness hang in the air, but tried not to pay attention to it too much.

"I don't care. I've gotten enough rest for a few dozen lifetimes as it is. Do whatever you want, OK?" Mokwa neglected the fact that he was the patient in the situation. Despite, or perhaps in spite of his pain, he wanted Laggerung to follow his own desires.
