"Um... OK..." Leaning on his side to rest his head on the arm of the couch, Dengoro brought his knees up to his body core in a gesture that represented more discomfort than coldness. He always did that when he was on the couch and unhappy; a loss of vision made him very unhappy indeed. So did the prospect of having to wear glasses from then on in. "Please... Come back soon."

"Don't worry, I will." *Dantin replied sincerly and walked up the stairs.* "Upon reaching upstairs he decided the best place most likely to look would be Linx's room. So in saying, (shuttup) he walked over to the door that lead to his room and turned the knob.*

Linx was, for once, just reading a book on the bed. It had what appeared to be three parallel, angled halos on the cover and looked like a genuine book for once, and he closed it upon seeing Dantin enter. "Oh, hey, Dantin," he started jovially. "Surprised to see me... Not... Doing something out of the box?"

OOC: heh, halo 3 rocks...
IC: "As a matter of fact, yeah. Since when do you just sit down and read?" *He asked jokingly but didn't wait for an answer.* "It's probably better that your not doing any kind of activities at the moment, actually, you need to come downstairs." *He said and stood by the open door, waiting for Linx to comply. He hadn't actually said what the matter was, he decided that Dengoro should probably be the one to explain to him what was going on.*

OOC: I had to make a reference.
BIC: "Wh... What is it?" Linx didn't bother to put a bookmark in the spot he'd been reading, simply setting the book down on the bed and standing up, slowly. He was wearing the infamous black bathrobe yet again and clearly hadn't been expecting to go out. "What's downstairs, Dantin?"

"Dengoro." *Was all that Dantin said. He really didn't feel like trying to explain something that he really didn't know a whole lot about. All he knew was that Dengoro had a hard time seeing things now. There may have been more to it that Dantin had no idea about, then again, that could be all there was to it. He didn't know.*

"I said what, not who," Linx sighed, rubbing his eyes with one paw as he walked over to his mate. "What is it? Dengoro is... What? Is something wrong?" He didn't appreciate being kept in the dark much, and didn't want a surprise when he went downstairs, either. Hopefully it wasn't something terrible, like a permanent injury of some sort.

"Look, I hardly know what the whole problem is. It's just that Dengoro is, well, not able to see things as clearly as he used to. His vision is getting blurry and I had to guide him back here from the river bank." *That was about all Dantin knew on the subject so if Linx wanted more info, he'd have to go and talk to Dengoro directly.*

"Uh... OK..." This, to Linx, meant very little. It was a temporary issue that could be resolved, for all he knew. He headed down the stairs slowly, unsure where Dengoro was situated now. At least the skunk wasn't still out on the riverbank where nobody would be able to locate him. "Where is he?"

"Just sitting on the couch. He seems really depressed or something..." *Dantin responded. In truth, he wouldn't have sounded so grave if Dengoro hadn't been acting so sad about it. It was just hurting his pride, Dantin figured. He'd probably feel the same way in Dengoro's position.*

"Oh..." This sobered Linx drastically. He headed down to the living room and walked over to the couch, taking Dengoro's paw as soon as it was in reach. "Gore? What is it? Are you... Are you OK? I heard something about your vision not being right."
"I think I'm nearsighted, Linx," the skunk mumbled dejectedly. "I can see stuff when it's... Right in front of my face... Not... Good. I can't see anything in this room right. You're blurry."

*Dantin didn't really have anything to interject at this point so he just stayed silent. It appeared he'd been right about Dengoro being somewhat depressed about the whole situation It even seemed it had gotten worse the short time that he'd been gone to get Linx.*

"OK, you know what... I'm gonna go see what I can do about that. Right now, yes. You two stay here, I'll go..." Linx promptly rose and headed for the door. He planned to go see an optometrist and ask about options, which entailed a specific kind of set of glasses, most likely.
Dengoro just watched as the mouse left. He couldn't see very well, actually. "And now I just have to sit like this... Lie like this... Lay... Whatever."

"Well... at least your not alone now, huh?" *Dantin said, trying to cheer him up. It probably wasn't doing much good and they had no idea how long Linx would take so... they could be there for awhile or not so long... and not much to do in the meantime.*

"Yeah. At least I'm not alone. I wish I could see things right..." It was fitting on some symbolic level that after he'd taken so much damage, his vision was distorted. Whatever the case, it did nothing to lift up his spirits and he was left curled up on the couch by himself and trying to adjust to the idea of having to wear glasses or something.
