Patricia was lost... She didn't know why, only she wanted to go to the market, and ended up wandering around the village...
"Where am I? This doesn't seem like the market place... Mou... I need help..."
Spotting a house near-by, despite having passed dozens of them and others being nearer, the arctic fox vixen went up to the front door, and knocked politely.
"Hello? Is there someone there? I'm lost, and I need some help..."

The beast that opened the door was certainly not the symbol of aid. Looking down at Patricia curiously, Elim just stared for a few seconds at the equally arctic beast who, in truth, didn't stand much shorter than he himself did. He heard something about being lost, but, knowing very little about the fort's layout, couldn't really help. Instead, the arctic wolf, clad in shocking white garb with the odd blue gem sewn in, decided to clarify. "...What?"

Patricia stared blankly at the wolf who had answered the door, her child-esque mind registering what he was... Which made her throw her arms wide without warning and yell one word;
"DOGGY!"
She was GOING to hug him, but something inside told her that that would be a bad idea... A VERY bad idea... Her shout was also probably going to get a very odd look from him, but it wasn't her fault... She had a mental age of a young beast in their pre-teens... Which explained her usual behaviour...

Elim's first impulse was to just shut the door in Patricia's face. Then again, she did say something about being lost, and despite the fox's conspicuous immaturity, she was, indeed, a rather good-looking beast. He held his grip firm on the doorknob, not letting go but not closing it either. "Correction. Wolf."

Blinking another few times, Patricia put one foot in the doorway in case he DID close the door after she corrected her mistake... In which, she threw her arms out wide again and yelled the correct word;
"WOLF!"
She was definitely an odd vixen... Most foxes were either smart, or cunning, or both... Pat wasn't either of them... But she wasn't dumb... No... Just not very advanced mentally... She had lost her memory seven years ago, and her mind had started again from the beginning. She still had all her functions when it came to speech, emotions and movement, not to mention skills like reading, but not her memories, which prompted her mind to be childish.

Elim winced as Patricia's voice reverberated within the living room and irritated his ears. He looked down at her with mild disdain, unaware of her amnesia and this unable to discern the source of such... Childish behavior. For the sake of his own record within the fort, he didn't just smash her in the nose hard enough to send her flying off the porch like his impulses told him to. Instead, he shrugged and smiled jovially, gesturing for her to enter. "Nobody else is here right now... For some reason, they think it's a good idea to leave me here alone... Why don't you come in and tell me what you're doing out here?"

"Okay mister wolf..."
Entering when "mister wolf" beckoned for her to do so, she looked around, and because of one of her personality quirks, trusting him totally...
"I'm lost... I was looking for the market place, and I couldn't find it, and I ended up here..."

"Well, you're gonna want to go straight out the door, turn left and keep going on the main road and you'll eventually walk into it, even I know that," Elim sighed in exasperation. If that was all she wanted, she'd have a problem, because he'd already shut and locked the door after her. "But now you're in here, aren't you? ...Alone with me in this house?"

"I guess I am mister wolf..."
It was hard to believe that the vixen had, seven years before, been called "Purplestreak", a feared warrior-vixen who had been on the verge of uniting several large bands of vermin into an army, with her as the warlord... She was radically different now, and she knew nothing of those years now...

Staring at Patricia for a few long seconds, Elim suddenly broke into a grin. Not only had he been visited by another beast from up north, he'd also been visited by one he knew. "Hey, I know you! You're that, uh... Well, I can't say you're a warlord because you never got your army... I know your face, I'm just blanking on your name." It had 'streak' in it. That was for sure.

"Me? I don't know who you mean mister wolf..."
Suddenly, Patricia's expression blanked as one fragment of her lost past came back... It was a name, but it was her name seven years ago, not that she knew it was hers...
"Purplestreak? Purplestreak Sharpsword? Is that who you mean?"

"Yes, that's it... That's who you are," Elim nodded slowly, his grin fading just a tad. He knew that name a bit too well. His family had never waged war with her various factions but there had definitely been tensions. "Good thing you never got your army going. We were ready to start a war... Well, no, I shouldn't say ready. We were willing. These days, it might have worked for us, but... Then, we'd be dead." At the time, he'd been a much younger adult, and, having seen little of the front lines before then, was simply shocked.

"I think you have the wrong vixen... My name's Patricia Daily... I don't know how I know the name "Purplestreak Sharpsword", but I get the feeling I should..."
She was honestly confused, to the vixen, her name was Patricia, not Purplestreak... It was just one more thing to be confused about, amongst all the other things she didn't know.

"You gave me the name, not me. What are you... Wait. What are you talking about?" This was no warlord vixen he was talking to. Elim was slowly realizing that the fox he'd once known was no longer said fox but a much more subdued, docile and overall juvenile beast. Something must have happened to her, something terrible.

"I mean, you act like I should know who this vixen is... I don't know her..."
Sighing, the vixen shook her head. This wolf claimed to know her, yet was calling her a name she didn't recognise, or didn't know why she knew it.
