Griffer Yellow paw, a young female stoat, entered the local village tavern a bit anxiously. She found a seat and set down her parcel of goods she had purchased earlier. Griffer ordered a tankard of Ale and a bit of fish, after the tavern maid went off to place the order, the stoat looked around at the wary eyes that glared back at her, on a whim she gave a tough looking otter a chilling smile and tapped her claws against the wooden table in a strange beat. After holding his gaze for about a minute, Griffer looked away and leaned back against the hard chair. "It's pretty lonely here." She mumbled and scratched a small itch on the side of her shortish muzzle.

Shortly after the strort, Raven Graywisker walks in the tavern, opening the door with his 'walkingstick'. He eyes the room, looking for a seat, as well as anyone that look like a potential customer. He finds himself a seat near the bar and rests his things on the ground. "Just a bit of bread, and some water" he says to the tavern maid when she come to ask him if he would like anything. As he waits for his meal, he goes through his pouch counting the many coins that he has.

Griffer's ears perked up at the sound and sight of another creature entering the slightly busy tavern. It was a mouse, a black one. Strange color for a mouse in these parts. She noticed he was carrying quite a large haversack and wondered what it contained. She almost got up from her seat to go talk to the beast, but the realization that she was a stoat and he a mouse, stopped her. More then likely he would shout at her, threaten her, or even smack her around with that stick of his, resulting in her being thrown from the tavern for causing a ruckus.
So Griffer sat back down with a soft huff and scratched at the table with her one yellowed paw. The tavern maid returned with Griffer's order and took the offered payment without much thanks.

Justyn had his paws kicked up on a table in a back corner in the room, leaning back, and with his upper-paws behind he was snoring peacefully. his belongings were between him and the wall, and his green bandanna was pulled down over his eyes. He yawned and stretched again, sliding his legs below the table, and pulling the bandanna back. He blinked, he recognized Griffer, but not the mouse. He saw here attempt to meet the new mouse, in vain. He yawned again, then shouted across the room, "Ahoy! Griffer! Wot brings you so far out here?" Justyn grinned rougishly.

Griffer looked up from her food with a start, her eyes flicked around the room quickly and came to a standstill when she spotted Justyn. She grinned right back at him and waved. "Oi! Justyn, don't scare me like that ya rogue." She said loudly, not shouting but rather throwing her voice in his direction.

Justyn really didn't care about the few that turned their heads to his shouting. Ignoring them he stood up, and in that usual rougish, almost rebel manner of his, crossed the room towards Griffer. He lightly stole a nearby chair that no one was using, and dropped heavily on it at the same table as Griffer. He chuckled, "Sorry, can't help it mate, somethin' I do naturally I'm afraid." He winked, "but, what brings you here? The company of other good beasties? I imagine they haven't laid eyes on a stoat-hog before." He glanced around quickly without moving his head.

Griffer rolled her eyes and used a claw to unstick a tiny bit of fish that had lodged itself uncomfortably between her teeth. "Well, you're perfect at it." She grumbled with a smart smirk. "I guess I'm just lookin' around for the place with grub to satisfy such an odd creature." Griffer bent forward and bristled out her medium length fur, mimicking a hedgehog. "We stoat-hogs need a diverse palate." She said with a chuckle.

Justyn chuckled at her imitation. "'Course you do! imagine having to feed two poor bodies trapped all inside one! The horror of it." Justyn tapped his head, "need plenty of nutrition an' variety to keep you movin', right mate?" He leaned back a bit closing his eyes.
"How're you settlin' in here, Griffer?"

Griffer laughed quietly and straightened up then smoothed down her tawny fur. "I'm settlin' in alright, nothing to major at hand recently. Not to mention I have my eye on a quiet looking cottage just on the outskirts of the village, you know of it? They're not asking much, y'see and my little den is much too cramped for my tastes." Griffer went on, running her shortish claws through her fur. She did enjoy talking, especially to Justyn, he was quite the listener to her rambles.
