Name: Xoreb Chesav
Species: Fox
Gender: Male
Residence: The high seas on his two ships Bloodtide and Hunter
Weapons: Massive long bow, chain and mace, scimitar.
Description: Xoreb is a huge fox with striking red/brown fur and almond shaped green eyes. He is handsome in a cruel way, but is in no way kind or merciful. His arms and chest are covered with tattoos, most of them very faded. His chest is also crisscrossed with scars from both long ago and not so long ago battles.
The fur on Xoreb's chest and belly is snowy white. His paws are the same color. His back fur is darker and rougher than the rest of his fur but still has the same rich luster. He has a huge barrel chest and stands nearly as tall as a male badger. His limbs are well muscled and he is very strong.
Clothing: Xorab wears an assortment of things, including silks and fine cloths plundered from other beasts, but he usually wears a plain brown and green kilt. This kilt is buckled as the waist by a broad sharkskin belt through which he thrusts his mace and chain. A similar belt is buckled across Xorab's chest and shoulder to hold his scimater. Around his neck he wears a thin gold chain that is often mostly hidden by his thick fur.
Xoreb often goes barepawed but sometimes wears thick leather sea boots.
Personality:
Xoreb is all around evil. There is no compassion in his huge body, only cruelty and self-interest. He is obsessed with self preservation, and becoming a great warlord. His goal in life is to have his name known and feared through out the land.
Xoreb is totally ruthless and merciless. He tried to never show and signs of weakness. He regularly exercises his authority as captain just to remind those under him who is in command.
Xoreb is very smart, though he had had no real schooling. He is a master of devising plots and schemes, and is used to them puling through. Because of this he is becoming more negligent in providing himself a way out if his plan should fail. This could lead to his down fall.
Xoreb has an annoying sense of sarcastic humor that he often lashes his subordinates with. He is smart and can usually predict and foil attempts against his leadership.
History:
Xoreb was born to a lowly crew member aboard the merchant ship Carrier. His mother was the captain's daughter and was later disowned once she was discovered with Xoreb's father who was named Fidd. The pair ran with their newborn and stayed on land to raise their son. Soon though they needed work and Fidd applied to another ship, this one with a less noble occupation than the past one. It was a pirate ship. Xoreb soon was old enough to join his father on voyages and he became the cabin boy. He learned to sail from some of the best, and also to fight. His skills grew along with his body which was strengthened by hard ship labor and his own efforts to be the strongest. Eventually the captain died and passed the ship to his first mate, who was now Fidd, Xoreb's father. Against the crews wishes, Xoreb was made first mate and Fidd served as captain. The pair where powerful and had soon racked up a small treasure through illegal means.
Things where going good for father and son, until a rival captains decided he had had enough. A war was declared between the two crews, but Fidd's crew was angry with him for cheating them and bossing them around, so most of them deserted. The rival captain attacked one night and killed the remaining crew and Fidd, and stole all the treasure. Only Xoreb escaped with a burning passion for revenge.
Xoreb forgot completely about his mother, content to let her think he was dead. He restarted his life and acquired a cheap ship and crew. He had learned from his failure and was much more careful in how he treated his crew. Over several years he used his skills to become the top pirate on the seas. He bought two ships, the Bloodtide and the Hunter and sincerely began his career as a pirate. He looted villages and town, until he had built up his riches and fame. He killed all his enemies and now rules the sea by fear.
