Ellich is a chestnut brown squirrel with equally brown eyes. He is just in his late teenage years, and loves his shop dearly. His father, a shopkeeper, died in a battle several years ago leaving his mother to care for him as a dibbun. Later his mother died from a disease still not known today, and Ellich was forced to run the shop on his own. Today he still is working in the market of the Otter Fort. He also does a little inventing in his spare time.
