In order to keep the quest thread nice and neat, I'm putting up this thread to keep people happy. Please only write posts that are quest related. If you have something else to say, then make a new thread on the OOC board. I'd really appreciate it if you followed this rule.

OOC: (As if that tag is necessary here.) (In response to Finnerator's last post.) Well, aside from jacking up my heart rate, that's pretty cleared up. Dang, I hate messing up... Don't want to get into a technical battle with you, waste of time, but the black is glossed and helps reflect if not totally prevent the absorption of light. And it's only brigandine armor, not heavy plate mail, mostly leather with only a few metal pieces aside from the studs.
Okay, this is more than one-and-a-half sentences so I'm moving it for the good of the quest.

Hey, no problem. Finnerator as a character doesn't know much of anything about armor so it's okay if she's wrong. I see exactly what your saying. I just think that faults like not understanding the armor, make a character more interesting.

Indeed they do. I'm just a reality freak in real life (Thus my sig) and some of those traits got passed on to my characters, not sure if that was voluntary or not but that does make things interesting. ...Actually, only Linx has those traits, Archon's a lot looser than I am...
And I hope it doesn't sound like we should be passing down all our knowledge to our characters. That doesn't make for a good RP persona.

I have a question, actually. Are we following through with any of that stuff I said earlier with the onboard weapons? I know I was sort of talking to the air but I'd like to know.
Also, how long a voyage does the Stormy Otter carry supplies for before we have to restock somewhere?

To the first, no, I wasn't planning on it.
To the second, it's not going to be a long voyage. We're sailing up the coast for about two days, then we'll stop at a village and find out what we can about the vermin that have been plundering the area. Then we'll see what happens from there. We're not going very far from Otter's Fort, so we can always turn back if we need to restock.

Okay. Since the Stormy Otter doesn't seem to be much of a full-fledged warship and it's not that large it would be capable of longer voyages out on the sea with a larger hold for supplies and all because it doesn't appear to have to set aside much room for weaponry. Actually, it doesn't seem to have anything besides the crew's small arms.

Yup, that's pretty much it. I'll take your word for it since I don't have much time to research all these things.

Yeah, OK... The part that doesn't make much sense to me is why we're using a seafaring-capable vessel for shore patrols. That kind of duty would be more appropriate to a battle-grade frigate.

Maybe Otter's Fort isn't rich enough to buy a full war-ship.

Possibly. That's actually a pretty valid explanation, you wouldn't believe the modifications you have to make just to install anything above a stationary hand ballista on board.
You know, we've never heard of an actual currency across the entire Redwalliverse. There's the coin system and all but I don't know how far that's actually spread.

Yea, on DAB there's candied chestnuts, there's coins on Forest Fort, and crystal shards on Terralux.
