**Ty looked out dreamily across the river, his thoughts being carried away as far as the waves. Feeling the spray on his face, the otter closed his eyes, and instinctively drew closer to the river. It was a hot day, and with the scorching sun shining on his back, the otter slipped into the waters, all at once relieved of the hotness that was brought that day.** Ah...That feels better... **Ty opened his eyes and he started doing the breaststroke. He swam slowly, and when he reached a boulder, he turned, and swam slowly back. He did this a few more times, each time going faster than the last. Finally, he climbed out of the waters, and the otter started walking alongside of the river. Ty felt so peaceful... so calm... All that was missing was somebody to talk with. Seor was too busy exploring, and Verrie was probably accompanying her. Ty smiled, as he thought of the friendly arguments they would be having right now. Still walking, the otter started slipping into the deep recess of remembering, remembering those events that had happened so long ago. Without meaning to, Ty fell asleep. His body hit the soft ground, so soft that the impact didn't wake him up. The otter's mind was swimming. Images swam across his eyes; when he tried to grab at them, they seemed to slip away. Struggling hard to get a glimpse of an image, any image, Ty thought that he heard pawsteps going towards him. Before he could think of what was happening, something hit him, and Ty fell unconcious. Verrie, who was in fact not with Seor at the moment swam calmly toward a fork in the river. Avoiding going to the left, for she had heard that there were strong currents there, she took the right fork, and continued on. Verrie remembered that when she was small, she and Ty would have a contest to see who could go the deepest in the waters. Although Verrie tried her best, it was always Ty who won, only because he could hold his breath longer that his sister could. Suddenly, someone shot an arrow at the otter. Luckily it was a bad shot, but still the arrow grazed Verrie's left cheek. Blood streaming out of it, Verrie grabbed her club that hung on a belt that she wore. Flinging herself out of the way when she saw that another arrow was heading her way, Verrie managed to avoid the arrow, but instead she crashed into a boulder. Cursing herself, she blindly flung her self on top it. Feeling the rocky surface underneath her scraping her back, the otter screamt as loud as she could.** Somebody, help! Help! HELPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!

**Maleava, though never an otter, had always loved the water. She loved boating, and watching others swim, though she was always too shy to do so herself. That day, the mousemaid was hiking alongside of the river Moss, hoping to catch sight of somebody who she could talk to, but who wasn't too snobby. For the first time of her life, Maleava drew close to the waters, and sat down, so that her footpaws were touching the water. Sighing profoundly, for the heat was quite intolerable, she dared herself to slip into the water. Before she could make a decision, she heard somebody scream.** Somebody, help! Help! HELPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!! **Grabbing for her lance, the mouse flung herself out of the waters. She followed the sound of where she estimated the scream came from, running as fast as her footpaws would allow her to. Turning a corner, the mouse saw what was happening. There were several vermin, mostly rats, but several of them were ferrets, who were surrounding a boulder with an otter holding on to it. Maleava grabbed her bag of darts, and threw one directly at a rat who was about to shoot an arrow at the otter. It wasn't a very good throw, but she managed to hit the left ear of the rat, stopping him from attacking the otter.** Ahoy there, vermin, look here!
OOC: Sorry if that's not who you want to attack your characters. If it isn't, then just tell me and I'll modify.

OOC: Yeah, it's okay, vermin's fine. BIC: **Verrie, who had almost fell unconcious, perceived that the vermin had their attention elsewhere. Opening her eyes cautiously, the otter saw a young looking mouse standing, holding a lance and a bag of something, presumably a type of weapon. Glad that someone would be helping her, Verrie lept off the boulder into the waters, and held her breath. She swam towards the banks of the river, ready to attack. When she finally reached it, the otter saw that most of the vermin's attention was on the mouse. Most, but not all. A ferret saw her, and yelped.** Look zere, it beez a otter! **Jumping onto the banks, Verrie swung her club at the ferret, knocking him on the head. Now the vermin had all seen her. Dodging a rapier, she delt a blow at a rat's stomach. Someone threw a rock at her, but it wasn't a very good throw and it soared over her right ear. Turning around, she saw a ferret raising his sword, and she dodged. Spinning to face the back of the ferret, she swung her club at him.**

**As the otter beat the ferret in the back, Maleava held her lance at the ready. From the corner of her eyes, the mouse saw something move. She turned to see what it was. There were more vermin coming. Maleava turned back towards the battle at the river. The otter was a good warrior, but obviously could not hold back at least 30 more creatures. If she was to charge down to aid her, they'd both perish sooner or later; even if they were to slay the vermin here, there'd be more coming. What could she do? Maleava knew that she couldn't just scream to the otter of what was happening, but if she were to stay here any longer, trouble would be heading towards them. Almost without thinking, the mouse ran towards the group battling by the river. Catching a rat who was trying to slash at her paws, Maleava stabbed him through, ignoring the blood that had spilt out from the cut he made. She dared to look beside her, where the otter was doing justice ( to several vermin. Looking good. Suddenly, a rock hit the back of her head, and Maleava fell.** GET OUT NOW! THERE'S MORE VERMIN COMIN'! GET INTO THE WATER!!!!

**Verrie fended off a blow from a ferret, and ducked her head when she heard a whistling noise above her head, which proved to be a rock. Knocking a rat into the waters, the otter heard the mouse call.** GET OUT NOW! THERE'S MORE VERMIN COMIN'! GET INTO THE WATER!!!! **Chopping off a nose of a ferret, Verrie turned around and saw that the mouse had fallen. Looking slightly upwards, she saw even more vermin had come. The mouse was right. There was only one possible escape route: the river. Groaning because somebody had stabbed her on her tail, she thrust out her club at a rat who was running towards the fallen mouse.** Flippin' liver-eared no-good for a rat, ye don't fight someone's who's fallen! Look, shrews! **The vermin all looked towards the river. It was all that Verrie needed. The otter ran towards the mouse, and picked her up.** Sorry, but if'n ye don't mind, I'll have to throw you into the water.

**Maleava's head was spinning, and she was almost unconcious. Before everything around her turned black, the mouse heard a close voice say.** Sorry, but if'n ye don't mind, I'll have to throw you into the water.

**Verrie looked down. The mouse had gone unconcious, no doubt about that. Sighing, the otter looked around her, and ran straight towards the river. There were vermin shouting, many trying to block her way. Verrie brandished her club, swinging it randomly. Suddenly, a rat came up in front of her, holding a dirk out directly at the otter's neck. She dodged to one side, but the rat stabbed her at her left shoulder. Grimacing in pain, Verrie could do no less than throw the unconcious mouse as far as she could into the waters, so that the currents would carry her away from the vermin. The rat swung at Verrie, but this time the otter was prepared. She dodged to the right, holding her club out to the left. The rat drew circles with his dirk, and threw a punch out with his free paw. Verrie blocked the attack with her club, only to get stabbed by the dirk, this time, only several centimetres away from the last spot. Rage boiled inside the otter. She swung her club above her head and aimed for the right side of the rat, then the left. The rat dodged the first shot, but was hit by the second. Verrie eyed the slain rat disgustingly, and she turned towards the other vermin, who were all circling her, but who didn't look very enthousiastic anymore.** Spar one-on-one, anyone?
OOC: Maleava, if you don't mind, can you add in your next post that you find Ty somehow? It's just that I added him in the first post already, but I kinda forgot him. Oh yeah, I changed the title of the subject. I don't think daydreaming's got anything to do with this!

OOC: Okay, sure. I like the new title though! BIC: **Maleava felt something brushing against her cheeks. Opening her eyes slowly, the mouse found herself on grass. Her head was hurting awfully, and she felt so cold! The mouse slowly stood up, and tried to regain her balance. At last, when her head stopped spinning, Maleava looked around her. She was on the banks of a river that was quite wide. Behind her was a forest, and beside her... Beside her... Maleava walked over, limping slightly. There was somebody lying on the ground, asleep or unconcious. It was an otter. An otter?... Suddenly the mouse remembered everything. The vermin, the battle... What had happened after? She got hit with something and fell unconcious, but the otter had thrown her into the waters to save her. Was that her? The otter lying on the ground? Maleava looked closer. No, it wasn't her, luckily. It was a male otter too. Rubbing her aching head gently, the mouse crouched beside him. Shaking him gently, she whispered into his ears.** Hey, are you alright? Can you hear me?

OOC: Thanks! **Ty groaned, his body aching everywhere. As he opened his eyes, everything was a bit fuzzy at first, but slowly he could make out his surroundings. He was lying near the first trees of the Mossflower Woods, with the trickle of water somewhere near him. Beside him there was a... The otter jumped up, but regretted doing so at once because his head felt like bursting. Groaning slightly, he felt for his claymore, which wasn't by his side. His bag of pebbles and sling were though. Knowing that if it were an enemy, he'd have no chance at all to fight it.** Hey there, be ye friend or foe? I'm weaponless here, so if ye need to ye ken knock me out 'gain.
**Meanwhile, Verrie was slowly being surrounded by vermin, nasty-looking ones. They were trying to cut any routes to escape, she knew it. Grimacing when she saw that she was outnumbered like about 30 to 1, Verrie could only hope for a miracle to happen. Hopefully the mouse had already escaped to safety.**[/quote]

**Maleava watched the otter regain conciousnes, still quite shocked by whatever had caused him to become unconcious.** Hey there, be ye friend or foe? I'm weaponless here, so if ye need to ye ken knock me out 'gain. Nope, no need. I'm a friend. M'name's Maleava and I come from Otter's Fort. What had happened here?

**Satisfied that Maleava was only a friend who came from Otter's Fort, Ty began explaining.** Y'see, I was kinda daydreaming here. 'Tis pretty hot today, I won't go over the details, and then I fell asleep. But I'm pretty sure that somebody knocked me out with a rock or somethin' like that. Why're ye here?

Well, I was... "playing" in the waters when I had heard somebody scream for help, so I ran over. There was this otter who was being attacked by vermin. We fought them, she was good, but we were out-numbered. Then I got hit in the head and I screamed for her to get into the waters to escape. The otter was valorous though; she threw me into the waters and then I don't know what had happened after 'cause I fell unconcious. Anyways, d'you happen to know her? She kind of looked like you. **Shyness was taking over Maleava again. The mouse looked down at her footpaws, feeling as if she had spoked too much.**

**Ty smiled. Despite the smarting of his head, the otter could tell that Maleava was quite a good warrior.** I think, just think, that ye've met my sister Verrie. You say she actually battled vermin? That's quite an improvement, judging to those days that we sparred for fun.

**Maleava smiled at the otter. If I had a brother, I'd want him to be like Ty.** I think we should go back. Verrie's probably in danger now. Let's try and help her, should we?

Aye, yer right. **Getting up slowly, so that he wouldn't kill his head, Ty drew his claymore, and loaded his sling with pebbles. Determination to save his sister was all that he needed to go on. Though the siblings were always quarreling, it was always friendly arguments, and Ty still loved his sister very much. Turning to Maleava, the otter smiled.** Ye ready?
