Camping by the River

[Gulls Tilk]

Gulls, Anna, and Dama were taking a stroll next to the river when Anna asked a question. "Hey, Gulls? Wanna have a camp out here by the river? It'd be fun! Plus we'd have water just in case we get to thirsty. Oh, pleaze! You just vant some time alone vith Gulls. I know dis as a fact... I'm smart! Quiet, Dama! Sure, Anna, that'd be perfect for a night like this. Now we just need some beasts to come along so we don't get to bored. Dama, you know what to do. Oh, ves! CAMPING! VE VANNA GO CAMPING!"

Linx could hear the sound of a young beast's voice from quite some distance away. He'd become accustomed to filtering out speech from adult pitches, but a juvenile tone shook the mouse of his reverie without a moment's pause. It took about half a second for him to go from thinking about the concept of air expanding with heat to heading towards where he'd heard the voices. They were still within the perimeter walls of the village, a bit upstream from the fort, so it wasn't like he had to protect them from possible threats, but he was still curious.

Upon approaching, it turned out to be an entire family, not just a single child. The mouse approached with the friendliest air he could muster, considering how laden with weapons he was. "Hey... Good day for a walk, huh?"

[Gulls Tilk]

"Hey there, Linx. Yes, good day for a walk and a perfect night for camping. We were wondering if you'd like to join us. If you will, then we'll have to get our stuff for it. Fort is not that far away. You can also get any friends that ya wanna bring."

Taken aback by the family's knowing his name, Linx had to remind himself of how renowned he was within the fort. I'm that famous inventor guy... Right. "Join you guys on camping? I'd love to! ...Could I know your names first?"

[Gulls Tilk]

"Oh, silly us! We've heard of you but you've not ever heard of us. Well I'm Anna. I'm Gulls. And I'm da soupier of all living creatuves, Dama! If you don't mind, I got to go back and grab some supplies. I'll be back in, oh, let's say five minutes." With those words, Gulls ran towards the Fort.

"I'm gonna follow him," Linx announced briefly. Then he decided to elaborate on it before leaving. "Supplies for myself, and who I want to bring." Then he left. His camping supplies awaited, as did Archon and the mouse himself. One of the benefits of going out to camp was the relative privacy he could get with his lover.

Gulls was back with supplies, such as a big tent, food, some flint, and some things that Dama has to help him go to sleep. "Hey, is Linx getting his stuff? Yep. Oh, and I can't wait for the night up ahead. Oh, brover...."

Linx returned a few minutes after Gulls did, with a heavy but compact pack on his back and Archon at his side, both of them identically dressed in black, steel-buttoned jackets, short-sleeved shirts, pocketed pants, chrome-buckled belts, gloves and boots. They certainly had a lot of buckles on them. Archon approached Gulls casually, hefting the pack on his back like it weighed as much as a feather. "Hey... You're Gulls, right? I'm Archon. Good to meet you... And Anna, and Dama."

"Nice to meet you, Archon, is it? Yes, well I was thinking of setting up camp on this side of the river like right around this area. Actually, right here might be fine! It has a beautiful view of the sun setting and rising. Just beautiful. What do you guys think about this spot?" The spot was just right next to the river.

[Linx Exotic]

"Well, we're far from the true wilderness, aren't we?" Linx walked up behind Archon, giving the mouse an acknowledging kiss on the neck as he did so. They weren't a mile from the village– Not a half mile from the dock. It wasn't like they were out where nobody would be able to find them. "Then again, it's a pretty safe spot, not too heavily forested... I'd like to do it a bit farther from the bank to ensure dry ground, though."

[Gulls Tilk]

"Yes, yes... true. I see your point. Okay." Gulls walks over to a spot a bit farther from the banks. "This spot seems to be good. Do you guys like it?"

[Linx Exotic]

"Fine with me," Linx commented. "Sound carries on land this lightly forested, though, we'll have to be quiet after dark..." He gave Archon a grin after finishing this sentence.

Archon returned it before adding to his mate's comment. "We'd better get setting up, it'll be nearing dusk pretty soon. I have the tent, Linx..."

OOC: Quick question, what is the CLOS?

BIC: Gulls toke the folded up tent off his back. "Well, we might as well. Hey Anna, I need a hand. Sure, coming." As the pair were setting up the tent, Gulls 'accidentally' put his hand on top of Anna's. They looked at each other and smiled. Dama saw it all. "Oh, great. I don't have a easy feelin' 'bout dose tvo! Dis might be de night Gulls actually falls fer Anna."

OOC: It's a pneumatic revolver.

BIC: "Well, I'm not getting involved, I already fell for someone... And someone... And someone... And someone," Linx commented on his polygamic nature while helping Archon to pitch their tent. "I mean, look. I don't need to bother with putting my paw on Archon's to describe this."

"You got a point there," Linx's mate concurred while driving one of the stakes in. "We're getting done fast."

After the tent was put up, Gulls and Anna walked to where a fire would be put. As this was happening Dama rushed into the tent making make believe sounds of fighting inside the tent. "Well, it seems we're set. Linx, Archon. Howa doing? Do you need us to start a fire?"
