Shauntee had volunteered to go out and collect mussles, scallops and fresh seaweed as the surf went out. The otter donned on one of her rough tunics for the sake of being in the salt water and with a large bark cloth bag, she dove under the water and around the large rocks for the tasty little morsels that cooked so well in hot sea stew.
Shauntee had been collecting now for about two hours, she slipped up on a rock, enjoying the warn sun against her cold body, then she looked into the bag, rummaging through the bag, pausing every now and again to think of what else she needed to add to her bag.
"Oh yea, Oysters..." She muttered, looking over to the semi still spot between a few large rocks. For some reason oysters were kinda hard to find in this part of the ocean, but she knew a few spots where they linked to be found, as long as the current and waves didn't crush her against the rocks.
The otter dove in, with bag and all, she swam as good as a bird flew in the air. She had to spend a few moments looking for the familiar rock crevice and the still part of the ocean where the rocks protected, she went back up for air, took a large gulp and down she went.
It had been a few weeks since she had been here, she she had to hold onto a few large rocks to stay down as she pulled and tugged on a few of the oysters. Taking some of the smaller ones, since the larger one were usually tough, her eyes focused on something round in the sand she she picked it up, squinting at it, it was the size of an otters nose, or so. She threw it in her bag and went up for air.
She reached the surface and took several good large mouthfuls of good fresh air. She made her way back to the shore. She made it out on the sand and shook herself off then looking around her, decided to make her way back toward the kitchens.
(OOC: I thought it a good way to make a first appearance)
