I like the Lord of the Rings, which is what I voted for. But actually, I like Redwall and Narnia too. And another series, the Wheel of Time, by Robert Jordan. Though the later books aren't as good as the earlier ones.

Discworld by Terry Pratchett. Definitely.
I'm sad about Robert Jordan dying before he could finish the last book. *sighs*

Wait a minute. He died?? I don't remember hearing that. I just knew he had that really rare disease, but not that he died..

Yep. He's dead. The series will never be finished now.

Aaah What a letdown! Ok I haven't been reading the series that long (not since 1990 like some) but still. That's too bad. It was really good. I suppose though that people would try to finish the book but it wouldn't be as good. Great. I hate when things like that happen.

Tell that to J.R.R. Tolkien.

Well, Tolkien at least completed The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Jordan really didn't get to complete ANYTHING in the end.

Really? Huh. That's too bad.
Tolkien died in the middle of that one book, didn't he?...

Like Auric said, he finished The Hobbit and LOTR. But I think he died before he could finish one of his books. His grandson or whoever it was did, I think. But RJ didn't get to finish his climax.

I think it was The Silmarillion. I believe what he had trouble with was coming up with a non-racist reason for the Orcs being pure evil.
