Don't be so downcast, he'll be fine, he just freaked. **He chuckled at her enthusiasm (YES, SPELLED IT RIGHT!) and said** Let's go, tavern or Gore first?

Briala hesitated for only a second before saying, "Let's go to the tavern. Dengoro will need more time to recover," she added quickly, though it really was just that she didn't want to be thinking about him while she was trying to have fun. A bit cowardly, but Briala had had enough of being "brave" today. "Besides, I really want to see the tavern. As I said, I've never been there."

Ok then, let's go **Fishrudder headed out the exit and turned towards the tavern, after a mite bit of walking they arrived at the tavern doors. The tavern was empty as it was inbetween lunch and supper. He stepped in and headed for the bar that went across the tavern**

Briala followed Fishrudder, making sure that she remembered the way to the tavern so she could find it again. Luckily for her, she could go a way once, and then remember it for the rest of her life. It was very useful.
Briala curiously poked her head into the tavern before stepping inside. It was relatively empty, and quite large. Fishrudder headed right for the bar, and Briala hurried to follow him, not wanting to get left behind. Her eyes never stopped moving; they were darting around and taking in all the details, from the highly polished bar to the many round, empty tables scattered around the tavern. "How interesting," she whispered, mostly to herself as she slid onto a barstool.

**Fishrudder caught the last part of what she said, he said to her** How is it interesting? And what do you want?

Briala slowly spun around once on her bar stool so she could look around the room one more time. "What? Oh, I've just never been in a tavern before," she answered cheerfully. "I just think it's interesting." Oh, now what do I want to eat? she asked herself, feeling her stomach grumble again. "Hmm...something like a fruit salad...then perhaps a pastie of some sort...with a light cordial to drink," she said slowly, tilting her head to the side as she thought about it. She giggled softly for a second, "Hehe, tasty pastie! So, do they serve any of that here?" she asked Fishrudder, a grin still on her face.

He gently laughed and said "Yes, they have them, I used to eat them. Oh so long ago, it seems like ages since I came here, following Finn where ever she went. I kinda miss my days of roaming." One of the waiters interuppted him and said "What would you like" He responded "Hm, one small fish and two strawberry fizzes." He turned to Briala and said. "That good, and what kind of pasty?"

"Hmm....leek and mushroom comes to mind," Briala said thoughtfully. The waiter nodded and left, calling orders to where she supposed the kitchen to be. Briala continued to spin slowly on her barstool. She was quite ignorant when it came to matters of social etiquette, and she was quite at lost for what to do now.
"So...what else does one do in the tavern?" she asked, turning finally to face the bar table. She rested her chin on it's shiny surface and fixed her gaze on a small bug that was crawling a few inches from her nose. She continued to speak, though her eyes never left the bug. "I mean, we get food, but we get that at the fort. What else?"

First of all, it's better food, second of all, talk, make friends. **He laughed at the maid's innocence about life. He glanced around for a friend of his, he knew most of them, but mostly from watching.**

"But..." Briala began, her eyes still glued to the bug. It was rather pretty, if you looked at it from this angle. It was a beetle, with a pretty, shiny green wing cover and iridescent eyes. "There's nobody else here, silly!" she laughed, feeling she had made a very important point. Quick as a flash, her paw shot out, and she caught the beetle in her cupped paw. She brought it closer to her and let it scurry around through her fur as she continued talking. "And we make friends at the Fort, don't we?"
