Not with Linx around... We were just discussing the armaments of said planned ship were we not Linx?

"Thus the turrets..." Linx couldn't help a final comment before fully engaging in conversation with Lore. "It's fun for weapons freaks like me."

While beasts who may not like BEING aboard ships anymore, like myself, get the chance to pool knowledge into a new ship.

"And then we get a sail-less steel-clad that can outrun anything and go against any elements and... Oh, man, this is gonna be great!" He felt like a dibbun, really... Linx never really got to experience a juvenile lifestyle.

"Well, considering the amount of preparing that must be put into this project, I would guess that it would take a minimum timeframe of months for it to be completed." Then, a thought occurred to Lore. "Having such a ship would bring an added measure of protection to the Fort, one that would be unexpected to any potential enemies. Being quite obviously your reason for creating it, am I wrong?"

"Mainly to use this new propulsion concept. This could be used for a whole bunch of things." The steam ball... There it was, clearly in his mind now. This could really work.

That may be Linx's reason, I'm doing it both for the same reason, and to try and find somewhere else I'm good at aside from hitting things with a sword.

"Wait, wait... A description of the steam ball takes more than ten words. You're out," Linx ended with a grin. This was certainly an amazing concept to start on... He was nearly trembling with anticipation.

"The steam ball? A new invention of yours? What is it?" Linx's ideas were always good reasons for being excited, and there was no reason why this would be any different.

Hey! I know how steam power works. I DID take apart a tea urn that had a steam boiler under it before you know.

"For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction... Use steam pressure to drive a pair of propellers... Even you can't say you've seen that, Raiden." Not a paddle wheel, an actual screw-type pair of propellers. He had had that idea just then too.

Not yet anyway. But I know how you work an object with steam. I hear some large towns are catching onto this and starting using forge lathes powered by steam.

"Well, I have an idea for how to use it in propulsion of a boat, too... It means extreme maneuverability and speed compared to what we have now." It was like a screw in how it pushed the boat through the water. How convenient.

Baroque-typed speed on a small frame? That's gonna be revalutionary! Oh and in case anyone's wondering, Braoques are LARGE ships... Bigger than a Man-O-War, but faster than ships less than a third of her side.
