Archon's reply never got to be finished, but perhaps that was actually a good thing, considering how he was planning on ending it. "Well, it's just because-"
"Hey, Archon, who you having an affair with down there?" It was Mokwa this time, heading down the stairs two at a time while resting his forearms on the railing. The glazed surface nullified the possibility of splinters, so he was free to do it as quickly as he wanted. Turning to look at Fishrudder, the monitor seemed a bit taken aback. Perhaps it was because he was even worse off with clothing than Archon. "Oh, hellgates... Why?"

**Fishrudder rolled his eyes and turned around and said to him** Mokwa, as a commanding officer I am commanding you to go put at least pants on. NOW. Where's Linx, we have to escape this hell-hole.

Mokwa put a paw against the banister and openly laughed at this. Apparently, Fishrudder was forgetting something. "Fishrudder, uh... I'm a civilian here, and if you've read your own book, public modesty laws don't apply within private households. I mean..."
Almost dropping the glass of water at the sight of Mokwa, Linx turned it over to Fishrudder nonetheless. It wasn't the fact that the monitor was completely bare that shocked him, it was the fact that he was in front of a known officer and in no way caring about it. "Here's... Here's that water."

No, No, they don't however, they do apply when I tell you too, in case you don't remember Mokwa, The village is the MILATARY'S. Most of the time, Civilians are left alone, however, when you are nude, right here, it's a good idea to follow a commander's orders. **He turned to Linx to recieve the glass and said to him** Thanks, anyother place we could do this?

"Abusing martial law in an arbitrary modification of an already established policy... You are so sacked." Mokwa reluctantly retreated back up the stairs. He eventually decided not to go back down until later.
Linx shrugged at this comment. "Not really," he admitted. "Once you get everyone in the house to be quiet, it's one of the most secure areas in the entire village." The mouse gestured to one of the couches Archon wasn't dozing on. "Come, sit. We have things to discuss and... Well, plenty of time in which to do so."

**Fishrudder rolled his eyes and turned to Linx** Ok, good point **He took a few steps and sat in a vacated chair. He said to Linx** Any ideas for the training program?

"Ideas for the training program... OK, first off, again... Make it longer. It's just too short to have any lasting impact on anyone. It's completely "How To Be A Soldier In 28 Days" or something! Just... Make it more sustained, for starters," Linx advised, sitting up as he entered his strategist mindset. All that mattered at this point was working out a way to make their soldiers the best in all Mossflower.

OOC: ... Again IC: The otter thought to himself, he then said "Probably the training I went through was really good, I went through it when I was 19, but, that was single training and we don't have the trainers to do that.

"Well, forget that, then," Linx immediately responded. That was pretty much a pointless idea. They'd only be able to muster about a hundred soldiers if they did that, to guard fifty times their number. "Just make it last longer. Spend more time on everything, and have some real tests that work off not only prerequisite skills and knowledge but what is taught and developed in training."

Ok, next group, we will do that. But what about the maintenances?

"What about the maintenance? Paying works itself out... Think about it. The better training we have, the less recruits actually make it into uniform. The less recruits actually make it into uniform, the more money we have left over to spend on good training. It works itself out. No big deal there," Linx reasoned blithely. Part of his strategic mindset was being rather apathetic and casual about everything he discussed, regardless of its content.

Everyone is out of shape, there used to be enough vermin around to keep the troops fit, but now many are gone, so we need our own training regimine...

"Independent practice just doesn't cut it, eh? All right. Institute a mandatory physical training program specifically designated for general fitness. Not weapons proficiency, you understand... Just fitness. Try that, for starters..." Weapons work could come when beasts were strong enough to use them well. This was obvious stuff. "You shouldn't need me to tell you this, I'm just a weapons guy..."

That all makes sense, most of them are already ok enough to hold a weapon, it's just in a prolonged battle they would be to fatigued, we need something for them too do.

"Well, that's obvious. You need to make them exercise! Yes!" Linx had a joking grin on his face now. Apathy didn't cover humor, it seemed. "It's not that hard to make beasts run. Rampart laps are good..."
