It's gotta be more then running, would you enjoy running miles on end?

"...Yes, actually, I would." Linx couldn't help but grin. "To be honest, I don't care what the trainers do, so long as they keep heart rates up. Running seems to be a practical skill, though." It was something that had to be done from time to time for ridiculous lengths on the battlefield. It also built muscle tone all over the place when done right.

There needs to be more then that. **Fishrudder rolled his eyes. And continued** Just runnig won't help, you need upper body training too.

"Oh, sure, running doesn't do your upper body, uh huh... You ever run, man? You do your upper body, specifically your core, plenty of that... Not that you shouldn't replace resistance exercise with it, but it covers all the heart stuff you need so then it's just resistance for the rest of it." Linx was growing increasingly worried that Fishrudder wasn't capable of overseeing this. He didn't seem to know nearly enough about training and, very importantly, fitness.

OOC: Yes, I do run, I also know how much running it takes to build core, it would take to long...
IC: Fishrudder glanced at him and said** Running will cover some, but not everything, ya, we can have running, of course we can, but, what else? Maybe some survival training. Weapons training, and things like that.

"Of course, but that's not nearly as directly attached to plain old fitness. That should all be self-explanatory. Do you actually need my input on this? ...I guess you do, you came here, which is, in itself, kind of sad." The fact that Fishrudder was coming to a weapons expert for advice on training didn't seem like a sound plan.
