Upon hearing the word that started with the letter b, a little switch got flicked inside Siohen's head and she remembered what that was about. She promptly bolted past him down the hallway, doing her best not to slam into him on the way. The mouse didn't stop until she'd gotten to the very end and entered the room, not bothering to even properly close the door because she was going so fast. About thirty seconds later, she returned a bit more slowly to Kade, this time actually shutting the door behind her. "F-f-fooh wouh b-b-b-be gooz," the mouse managed to request. Even when she was able to actually speak, her secondary speech impediment, the inability to pronounce the letters d or r correctly, if at all, shone through.

*Kade hadn't exactly been expecting Siohen to go bolting out of the room like that. That being said, it is also safe to say that he was surprised by the action and just kinda looked at her as she sped down the hallway into the bathroom. When she got back and requested food, he couldn't help but smile a bit.* "Yeah, we'll do food now. I think the free food here is already closed up for the morning but I doubt you would want that, it's not very good. We'll go to the tavern, they have good food there, that ok with you?" *He said as he slowly started off in the direction of the stairs, waiting her reply.*

Nodding eagerly, Siohen followed the mouse in the direction of the stairs, careful not to trip over her own footpaws, which was actually difficult with the heavy garment on her shoulders. Kade seemed a bit far ahead, so she quickened her pace to compensate. It resulted in her stumbling a bit, right before the stairs at that. She had to intentionally fall down sideways so as not to risk falling down the stairs. Mumbling a stuttered curse under her breath as she tried to get back up, the mouse somehow managed to feel even more deflated than before.

*Kade turned upon hearing the stuttered curse and was a tad surprised to find Siohen on the floor, struggling to get up. He quickly strode over and knelt down so as to help her back up, which he did.* "Sorry if I was rushing a bit, are you ok?" *He asked in a concerned voice. Of course he would feel concerned for a beast that just feel down, especially one that seemed and acted as vulnerable as this one did.*

Siohen managed to nod as she rose again, not rejecting but more ignoring Kade's grip on her as she tried to continue walking. What little composure she had before was probably gone now, and she was clearly unhappy as demonstrated by her dejected gait down the stairs. She made it down the steps without falling again, but her pace was slower now, more careful, more... Hopeless. It was the gait of someone who'd lost everything; one could tell a lot by a beast's gait.

*Kade pretty much jogged down the steps to catch up with Siohen, noticing how dejected she was acting.* "Hey, why look so glum? Just because you took a little trip? It's not that big a deal, you know... besides, you're gonna get some good, hot food. That's gotta count for something." *He felt, though, that there was more to this than just what he'd seen. She was acting like it was the end of the world or something. Of course, it'd be hard for her to relate to him as to why she was actually so unhappy, seeing as how she couldn't talk all that well. He just hoped that she would get over it.

In fact, she had genuinely lost everything, except her life, her body and the clothes on her. She offered Kade an apologetic but still saddened glance on the way for the door to outside. At this time, it would probably be a bit warmer outside, and maybe this time around she wouldn't be near-fatally incapacitated by the cold. After all, she was going to get some good, hot food, hopefully. What do they have? Roast bird? What's with this place?

*Kade reached the door ahead of Siohen and held it open for her, as any gentlebeast would do. It seemed that the air coming in from outside had lost it's bite upon the rising of the sun. It was much warmer now then it had been, though it could not be called warm by normal standards, it could be called warm by the beginning of winter standards. It was warm enough to where he wasn't bothered by the fact that he didn't have a coat on.*

Unused to temperate conditions in general, Siohen was just glad she had something besides her usual garments to insulate her. It felt a lot less deadly to be out in the cold air when there was a wall like this to protect her, but the feeling was afflicted by another, prevailing feeling of reliance and inability to care for herself. It was all silly anyway. She was just hungry, it couldn't get that dramatic. "Wh... Wh-wh-where's it?"

*Kade pointed out into the generel direction of the village.* "It's out there. There's a bit of a walk between here and there so it'll be a little while before we actually get there." *He started off in the direction he had indicated earlier, if slowly. Waiting for Siohen to catch up and to make sure she didn't take another tumble because that definitely wouldn't do anything to make her feel better about herself, just the polar opposite.*

Having to be waited for didn't help much, either, but Siohen didn't comment. That'd just come across as silly, too. However, she felt rather entitled to be emotional, seeing as her family had just been torn away from her and her entire life had been ripped out of her... Life. It was like the old her and everyone she knew had just died, and she couldn't even communicate it to anyone since there was nobody she knew well enough to communicate it to. All the weary mouse could do was follow Kade and try not to start spontaneously crying.

*It was safe to say that their walk to the tavern was becoming increasingly awkward. Mainly because there was an uncomfortable silence at the moment and Kade couldn't break it with a question because that would just stress Siohen out even more than she already was. She just seemed so... sad, almost looked like she was trying to keep herself from crying.* "So, uh... have any preferences in the ways of food? The tavern has most everything there." *It was one of the few things that could be easily enough conversed over. He just hoped he didn't get her tearing up again...*

That was something she just didn't know how to answer. In her time at the village, all she'd had to eat was bird meat, bird eggs and raw fruit. She'd never picked up a fork and didn't know soup from pond water. In fact, Siohen couldn't identify basic vegetables, having never seen them before in her isolated village. She shook her head slowly, realizing that there must have been a lot of food around here for there to be a big enough menu to actually choose from.

*Kade was a bit surprised by that, he guessed he'd have to help her out with that as well.* "Oh well, I guess I'll have to show you your way around the menu then, huh?" *By this time, they were getting fairly close to the tavern, in fact, he could see it just down the road they were on. He pointed it out to Siohen.* "See that building there? That's the tavern. It might be a bit rowdy at the moment but they have good food and drink. Just what you're looking for."

She'd never been around anyone who wasn't a mouse before, although she'd heard of their existence. That was it, though; in many regards, Siohen was very uneducated. The mouse had never been around crowds before, either. This was going to be a very strange and possibly traumatic experience for her, although she didn't know it yet.
