*Dantin immidiatly walked to the door, opened it and stepped outside. He didn't immidiatly head for the training grounds, first he started off towards the armory so as to pick out a stave for use in the sparring session soon to come. Kade on the other hand did not immidiatly walk to the door. In fact, it was good few seconds before he slowly started to move towards it. It's not like he was gonna miss anything, he wasn't the one sparring. He didn't know why he was being like this but he, in fact, was.

Siohen just headed straight for the training grounds and waited. In order to not waste time, she promptly started a quick routine of stretches to loosen up her muscles a bit for the spar. Flexible as she was, it paid to warm up a bit, and a minute to prepare could give her the winning edge, not that she needed said minute to do it. After all, she'd trained to fight against beasts armed with bludgeons of all varieties as well. They'd probably have to negotiate the rules, though.

*Upon entering the army, Dantin immidiatly began searching for just the right sized stave. Eventually, after having blundered around for a minute or two, he found just what he was looking for. A stave that was just about the same size as his sword plus the hilt. It seemed sturdy enough and, though he didn't know what kind of wood it was made out of, it was smooth from use. He exited the armory and made his way over to where Siohen was warming up her muscles. "So, any ground rules?"

"Fffffight t-t-t-to first b-b-b-blood," she offered nonchalantly. That was a typical term for sparring amongst relative strangers back at her village. It involved a lot less holding back than first contact, and a lot more genuine fighting simulation. It'd do well to get her adrenaline pumping again, anyway, assuming she didn't get seriously injured. The only way she could imagine a stave giving her more than a scrape would be if it broke her nose or something equally gruesome, but scrapes did count.

"Fine by me." *Dantin said. He swung the stave a few times and did a few fancy spins with it just to get a feel for it. It was different than his sword, obviously, but he'd just have to get used to it. He then entered into a ready stance, holding the stave as he would his sword. If he learned anything, it was that patience was a good thing. This being said, he wasn't going to attack yet. Especially seeing as how Siohen wasn't quite in a fighting stance yet, though she didn't necessarily have to be to be able to attack or defend...*
*By this point, Kade had gotten as close as he was gonna get and plopped himself down onto the ground about ten to fifteen yards away. Hopefully that would be enough room between him and the combat...*

She was already in a ready stance of sorts, on a mental level. Raising her paws to about chest level, she started slowly advancing towards Dantin, shuffling her footpaws rather than conventionally walking so as to keep one footpaw always in front of the other. The mouse stopped little more than two meters away, just out of range. Siohen made no attempt to make the first strike, though. It didn't matter who hit first, after all; it mattered who hit last.

*Dantin took a little hopskip forward and lunged straight at Siohen, holding the stave one pawed. At the last plausible second, though, he turned the lunge into a controlled spin, turning in the direction that his sword paw was in. Doing this effectivly brought the stave flying around with considerable amount of force toward the right side of Siohen's body, relative to her stance.*

This was a rather amusing move for Siohen to watch. The problem with it was that it put far too much momentum into Dantin's spin, regardless of how much he tried to control it; he was even holding the stave one-handed. She ducked beneath it as it reached her, shot up a paw to grab onto his wrist and pulled it back towards her while lashing out with a vicious hammer blow to Dantin's ribcage. Since her arms were going in opposite directions, Dantin's arm being pulled would greatly increase the force of her strike.

*In fact, there had not been to much momentum in his spin. He knew that spins could go out of control fairly easily so, since he had spun to his right, he spun on his left footpaw so that when he came around he could plant his right footpaw right away and immidiatly stop the spin. He did this quite efficiantly, so much so that even though Siohen had grabbed his wrist and pulled on it, he merely dug in more than he normally would have and didn't get pulled hardly at all. Doing this took much off the blow to his ribs and gave him the opportunity to step forward with his left footpaw so as to bring him closer and go for a straight punch right at her face. Not much technicality to it but if it worked then that was that.*

Still down in a sunken posture, Siohen repressed a grin as she watched Dantin cross his arms. With his right arm still way out where the younger mouse's grip still immobilized it, he had to punch with his left paw, which made his arms rather crossed. She simply fell back, but on the way grabbed onto Dantin's paw that still held the stave and twisted it backwards in a painful disarming move.

*This did indeed disarm him and in quite a painfull way. He growled through his teeth but used this to his advantage. Since he already had his left arm right up there with his right, he grabbed the forearm that was connected to the paw that had twisted his right paw with his left paw and forcibly pulled her past him to his left, turning his body in the same direction at the same time to add weight to the pull. While doing that, he bent his right arm and brought his elbow crashing through where her head/face would be going so as to hit either or with his elbow.*

Siohen didn't expect her arm to be pulled at. Her footing was a bit shaky from being pulled mid-shuffle, and she collapsed forwards immediately, the brunt of her body weight contributing to her forward motion. Her head was turned to the side so that, unfortunately for her, when Dantin's elbow connected it did so dead-on with her face. She made a spectacular 360-degree spin as her body was flung onto the ground, the mouse's forearms breaking her fall frighteningly narrowly. Everything was a haze of incapacitating pain and all she could do was cough out a mouthful of blood and broken tooth enamel onto the ground.

*Dantin was so surprised that the move had worked that at first he was smiling. That is, of course, untill he saw just what he had done. He immidiatly ran over to her side and knelt down beside her.* "Oh crap, Oh crap... I'm so sorry..." *He kept saying to her. He couldn't think of what to do... Kade on the other hand, who had also rushed over to her side, knew exactly what to do. Run to the infirmary as fast as possible and get help. He took off at a sprint, calling back to them.* "I'll be back with help in just a minute!"

The hemorrhaging didn't stop. She couldn't get herself to get off the ground at all, nor continue to support herself on her forearms. In order to prevent from landing on her face, Siohen rolled onto her side, blood flowing freely from the multiple wounds in her mouth and nose; indeed, her nose had suffered damage as well, the cartilage having been crushed against the bone in a horrifically messy fashion. There was no doubt that 'first blood' had been reached in her case, but it was, unfortunately, far beyond a simple scrape.
