Well, as this excursion has turned into nothing more than conversation, it may as well be put on hold. You say you have some with you. Would you mind showing them to me? And as you are a shop-keeper of sorts, I expect that you would prefer some sort of charge? *Lore pulled out a purse of coins* I can pay for whatever you decide.

"Let's start simple, the CLOS. Five rounds for as many coins, they're that hard to make, seriously." Linx shouldered his CAR and drew the CLOS, the Cylinder-LOading Sidearm. Originally thought up by Archon, not him, it used a gas piston to drive a pin back which, in turn, rotated the cylinder. In short, it was a gas-operated revolver. "Anything in particular you want me to destroy?"

You're the master of these weapons. You decide. *Already, Lore felt a keen interest in these creations of Linx's. Perhaps when he was done, she would buy one from him. Maybe she would not be good at using it, but with time and practice, that would come.*
(OOC) I'll be right back

"Rock." Linx crouched down, picked up a chunk of sandstone by his footpaw with his free paw, and hurled it through the air. His first shot grazed the side of it (it wasn't the smallest in the world, mind you) while it was still in the air, taking off a shard before the rock touched the ground. Another following up hit dead-on, shattering the stone and fragmenting it before it landed. "Two of five, I practice too much..." Linx lowered his CLOS slowly, warily.
OOC: Right.

*Seeing Linx's CLOS in action nearly made Lore's jaw drop. The accuracy of the weapon and its wielder was unlike anything she had ever seen before. True, accuracy was possible with range weapons such as the bow, but she had never imagined that this degree of it could be achieved with something like a CLOS. * How long have you been working with these, to achieve such skill as that?

"This one, the CLOS, I've been training for about a month. It took a couple weeks to actually design it..." Linx looked at Lore's expression and grinned. "It doesn't take long to get good with one of these, they're very user-friendly."

I see. And do you sell these in your shop? I am impressed by its accuracy. I know I said I prefer traditional fighting implements, but that may well be changing.

"The CLOS isn't in full production yet, nor is the CAR. They're the two fastest-firing weapons I make because they use pneumatic bullets, but that's also why there are only prototypes since it takes a lot of time to manufacture them. For more reasonably affordable work, there are the spring models, in which a metal coil spring propels a solid bolt and is drawn back manually for each shot. I have two weapons that work like that, the bolt repeater and the repeater rifle. They are both as accurate as, if not more than, this CLOS, and the repeater rifle is actually the highest-velocity weapon I have, let alone sell." Well, he certainly could make a monologue on his weapons. It was easy considering how much time he had spent designing them.
