Linx removed his jacket and put it around Ellich's shoulders, flinching slightly at the feeling of the cold air biting into his flesh. "Then let's go," he murmured, dejected at the squirrel's answer.

"Ok...good..." Ellich stood, a little slow at first, but eventually he started walking to go to his own home. Maybe then he could get some sleep.

Looking up at Ellich leaving, Linx didn't find the energy in himself to get up and follow the squirrel, or even speak. He sat dumbly on the ground and stared at the grass in front of him, too disheartened and stunned by what had just happened to even visibly respond.

Ellich continued walking a few more paces before blacking out for a moment. It appeared that he just stopped walking for a moment though, and afterword he continued on. Though he then turned around. "Linx I already told you. I cant trust you anymore...."

Linx didn't respond. He didn't even look up. In his mind, Ellich had already left entirely. He's not gonna come back to you. This is the end of it. ...Why are you telling yourself this?

"No more remark that time. Good... I dont WANT any!" Ellich stormed off several pases onward, enraged at Linx. Ellich had to get home soon, he felt like passing out again.

Linx fell backwards onto his back, staring up at the sky. Yeah. He's gone. You can convince yourself of that safely now.

Ellich stumbled to town like a drunk. Moments before getting to the gate his extreme lack of food, water, and sleep took over. He fell flat on his face after sobbing about missing Linx. Ellich hoped someone would at least come for him, and with that he completly blacked out.

After about ninety seconds of staring at the clouds, Linx realized he wasn't getting anything done there. The mouse rose slowly to his footpaws and set off to the curtain wall gate, but after a rather short length of walking he realized the path to the gate was already occupied, by an unconscious Ellich at that. Seeing no other choice but to bring him in, he picked up the squirrel's limp form and carried him in through the gates, a clear image of the sickbay foremost in his mind.
