"I'd say so. You live in the barracks right? Luckily thats not to far away from here." Ellich turned around and started walking backwards while talking to Dengoro.

"No, let's just go in..." The north gates were bearing down on them already. Dengoro entered shortly after Ellich did. "Does that mean we're splitting up already?"

"Yeah I guess. I was planning on stopping at Linx's..." Ellich turned back forward now that Dengoro had caught up. He continued with Dengoro.

"Oh, well, uh... I need to go back to my room and change, really." As if by coincidence, they were approaching the barracks now. The village wasn't so thick on this side of the fort. "I guess that means we aren't gonna..." Obviously disheartened at the idea of being alone, Dengoro faltered and it showed in his pace as well.

"What?" Ellich had a puzzled look on his face. "Dont get much company of somthing?" This reminded Ellich of himself really. He stayed in his shop a lot, having friends over wasnt common.

"Uh... I have a room that only I live in, I have... Maybe one friend, a couple acquaintances... A mate out of sheer luck but there's no way I'll be, uh, can't..." Dengoro faltered again. There was no easy way to talk about this and he was going to end up spending the rest of his day alone anyway, at this rate.

"What? You aren't making much sense." Ellich stopped in front of the barracks. "What are you talking about?"

Dengoro stopped only out of necessity. "My point is, I don't have anyone to be with right now. It's kind of unbearable." The social contact he'd had already was a major improvement over before. He hadn't seen Dantin in a while and things there were grinding to a halt. At least they weren't going backwards.

"Oh...uh" Ellich looked up to see where the sun was in the sky. "Whatever... Ill stay with you for a while. I can visit Linx whenever."

"Thanks," Dengoro immediately exhaled gratefully, relaxing visibly. "My room is on the second floor, near the stairs... C'mon, let's go."

"Alright." Ellich sighed, then followed Dengoro. He watched several others pass by, most seeing Ellich, but Dengoro seemed almost invisible to everyone there.

The skunk headed up the stairs with the slightest of difficulty. The bare wood wasn't easy on his bare footpaws and he couldn't help but wince as he made it up to the top. From there, his door was so close that he... He forgot to lock it, which was good because he also forget his key. It was thus very easy to open. "C'mon..."

"Alright." Ellich walked into Dengoro's room. It was simple, and to Ellich looked like Dengoro didnt do much in it. A very simple room.

Aside from the semi-loft bed with the drawers underneath it and a few candle stands by it, the room was entirely bare. In addition, it was so narrow that the bed, placed sideways at the end of the oddly long room, could barely fit. Dengoro headed over to these drawers after shutting the door behind them and crouched down in front of them to look for some clothing, inadvertently baring his striped back and tail to Ellich.

"Heh not much to your room eh? I can see why you are lonely though." Ellich started walking around the room. He just wanted to see what was really in it, and it wasnt much.
