This was suggested by one of the members so we'll see how it goes. If you have suggestions that would make the idea work better or help the board run more smoothly, please post them here.
The idea is that members can create new threads with a roleplaying post. Others can join in with the roleplay, but this time, officers will critique each member on their writing. Try it out and we'll see how it goes.

I do those frequently, yes. That doesn't mean I don't know how to do longer ones, it means I'm pressed for time for one reason or another. (Usually because multiple people are on and I don't want to lag behind, other times because I'm just working fast.) They can be just as good as a few long posts if they're in large quantity and each of good quality but nonetheless short.
Discretion is required there.

What I meant by that is, a short post doesn't mean it's bad. If it's in larger quantity it can match longer posts, but the thing is, the shorter post will have very little action for its amount of text.

So what kind of non-fighting scene are you looking for? An evening in the tavern? A day in the market? Fishing in the river? Pick anything and make a thread.

I can help with combat, but showing emotion is my weakness (But I gotta remember to keep it realistic )

I can also help to an extent with combat, and showing emotion is within my capabilities as well, so just ask if you need something.

Emotion isn't that hard to do if you can get into the character... Esspecially if your charcter is based on you or a part of you...

Hmm, I try not to do that, although it tends to happen often anyway. Role-playing does entail trying to act like someone unlike yourself.
