"Right, not to be nosy," Linx laughed sardonically. "How often? Like, how many times a day? I don't... I don't count, actually." The fact that it was more times than he could count per day said something in itself, though. He got all that he wanted and then some, which he had made quite plain as it was.

"So it happens rather frequently." said Dianna. She started to get thoughts in her head of what Linx looked like without clothes on, but tried to change the thought to something else. "I was also wondering. Who lives there?" asked Dianna.

"Who lives there? OK, let's see," Linx bought himself a few seconds to mentally compile the list. "Myself, Archon, Dengoro, Dantin, Ellich, Lars, Sinthin, Seria and Kade. Uh... Mokwa technically lives at my house but he's down the coast for a month so he isn't there right now." Ellich's name might have been familiar from when the squirrel owned a general store, and Archon was a well-known squad captain. The rest were likely unknown to her.

"That's alot of people!" said Dianna. She was surprised that those many people could live in one house. "Isn't it cramped to have so many people to live in one house?" asked Dianna. "You can't possibly mean they sleep in the same beds...do you?"

"Well, you've seen the house, you know how big it is... We could have our own single beds if we wanted," Linx responded coyly with an equally secretive grin. The nature of the house's occupants' relationship to one another was apparently just starting to sink in. "You didn't know about this?"

"No, I haven't..." said Dianna. "I only have been here for about a few months. I don't know alot creatures here. You might be the first 'friend' I have." explained Dianna. She looked around at the different buildings. "Isn't your house close by? I can't remember." said Dianna.

"It's just after the marketplace. Didn't I say that already?" Looking over at Dianna oddly before returning his gaze to the road ahead of him, the mouse kept a brisk pace as they moved through the market. They were passing his shop but he made no comment; that'd just waste time. "You make 'friends' with me, you make 'friends' with all of 'em..."

"I guess." said Dianna. She started to keep up with Linx, and she then eyed the familiar building of Linx's house. "That's the place, right?" asked Dianna. She knew that was most likely it, it was the biggest house that surrouned all the other buildings.

"Yeah, it's only, like, the biggest residential building in the fort. Like it a lot," Linx murmured while observing the smoke rising from the chimney. "Maybe Archon is making something in the kitchen... Or maybe they're heating the water. I dunno. But that's the place, yes."

"So what type of person is Archon?" asked Dianna, as the two drew closer to the door to Linx's house. "Is he mean, or nice? Does he not care about anything?" asked Dianna.

"Well, of course he's nice, he's my first... Yeah. You get the idea. He's a squad captain in the fort army and does a lot of cooking..." That was probably an awful description of Archon and Linx knew it. However, it was just a cursory glance at his mate's traits and he knew that as well. What he didn't know was if she got the idea or not.

"I think I get what you were about to say.." said Dianna, not wanting to say what she thought. She didn't want anyone to over hear their conversation. They finally reached the door to the house, and Dianna stood still. "You...gonna let me in..?" asked Dianna.

"Sure, one moment." The door still had two locks, and Linx had to unlock both of them to allow access. He gestured to the space inside, stepping aside to let Dianna ascend the porch past him. "Here, come on in. It's cooler inside."

Dianna walked into the cool house of Linx's. It felt better in the house than outside. She stepped aside so Linx could get in also. "I like your house!" said Dianna. She couldn't believe all the stuff that was in the mouse's house.

Linx shut the door after himself, gesturing to the three couches arranged around the room's central, low table. "Well... This is the living room. What do you think? Spacious enough?" The ceiling was high enough to have warranted a painting across it. It actually arched slightly to provide for good support.
