"Well, I share it with four guys who... Never mind." Linx didn't feel like prying open the matter of his polygamy right then. That couldn't possibly go well– Those clans that participated in more ritualistic and impersonal acts of intimacy still valued the one-on-one coupling of a devoted relationship. "It's decked out with a lot of, uh, technological stuff I added... And steel shutters."

Skye blinked, wondering on what Linx seemed like he was going to stay. Dimissing the thought with a shrug, she nodded, each beast was allowed their private life, so she wouldn't pry. "Sounds good for security." she stated, walking on.

"The place is pretty much impossible to break into... Not that it matters now, we're not trying to; in fact, we're not even going to my house right now." Linx affirmed this by walking right past it. He'd typically stop and get some money of his, but that had already been done and now all he needed to do was get to the tavern with Skye. "Let's go to the tavern, now... Same direction, straight out."

She nodded, hands in the pockets her her breeches "That's..reassuring." she stated, feeling a weight lift from her shoulders slightly. She followed him, and walking on, as they approached the tavern.

Linx couldn't help but notice how the thatched roof was showing signs of deterioration, even from a distance. "Maybe the second floor is just an excuse to put on a new roof. That thing is taking hits these days." It had been around for so long– Since the fort was built– that the mouse was surprised it was even still intact. Apparently, some skilled paws had gone into making it. "Well, we'll be under it in a second."

Skye looked over the roof, seeming some frayed parts and shrugged. It could be worse and she turned to Linx "Has it been fired on in attacks?" she asked, wondering what he meant by hits.

"No, I was referring to constant weathering from the environment, no invading force has ever made it in this far. Heck, I can't even remember anyone ever breaching the outer wall!" Linx headed up to the tavern doors and opened them to reveal the cheerful, well-lit and moderately populated interior. Everything was well-worn wood and cloth, as usual, and Linx led Skye to a table for two by a western window so as not to get any glare from the morning sun.

"Then ye're very lucky." she stated, voice quiet. She followed him inside, looking about with interest as she entered the tavern, following him to the table. "This is a amazing place." she commented.

"It's a tavern. What did you expect?" Linx picked up his menu and started looking over the available breakfasts. Apparently, the menu had been revised again, since the layout was completely different and it had taken him a moment to figure out where his desired dishes were. "I swear, every time I look at this, there's another egg dish..."

"I haven't seen many taverns honestly. And usually there was a large brawl going on, so I couldnae admire the interior." she replied and say down, picking up the menu. She began to read it over, quiet for the moment.

"Brawls... No, not here, that'd end in someone getting shot and nobody would like it." The fort was well-enforced enough to prevent a fight from ever breaking out. Linx was free to go over his menu at his own pace, gesturing for Skye to follow suit. "I picked this side to avoid sunlight, but it's actually a bit cloudy out, isn't it?"

"That's a refreshing change." she replied, relaxing now, as she looked outside at the grey clouds "Probably going to get rain later, it is spring after all." she commented, turning back to her menu.

"It's been raining since winter ended, I'm surprised it was even sunny at all these last few days..." Eventually, Linx found something that looked desirable. "Huh... Seagull eggs? We must be doing a genocide on the seagulls to get all this." It was actually more of a war, and it was being waged down on the coast where they had soldiers all over the place.

"It was a poor winter, too cold and wet to enjoy." she replied, nodding. Looking over the, she found the item he was looking at and tilted her head "I had seagull eggs once, they made me sick." she commented.

"I'm not gonna even try those eggs, but... That winter was actually kind of dry here." There had been very little snow and no rain at all; all in all, a mild winter. Linx doubted this was the case for everyone, though, and ceased his reflection so he could return to his menu.
