"I think I... Well, it hasn't worn me down. I doubt it's worn anyone else down... OK, it has, but not in a bad way. It's hard to understand without going into disturbing detail, you see." In truth, the process of wearing down had involved many a beast dying, but this was neither directly related to his actions nor something he felt a need to disclose. He held his tongue at that point, worried about saying something wrong.

Skye nodded slowly, finishing off a piece of toast "Av course. I'm not one te pry." she assured him.

"Good, because most of my inventions don't need to be forced apart anywhere to field-strip," Linx responded with a grin. A reference to his inventions would do well to alter the conversation; however, it made him think about how he'd neglected his need for conquest for so long to just develop what he already had. It grated on some of his more basic desires. Of course, he said nothing about any of this.

"Inventions? Like those weapons?" she asked, a little confused by the new statement. She could tell well enough that he was wanting to change the subject. Skye leant back a little in her chair, returning the smile aloofly, more accustomed to conversation now.

"Yes, like those weapons. Complex as many of them are, you don't need to break 'em to clean 'em. I was just making a little point there," Linx explained tiredly. If there was one thing he hated doing, it was dissecting his words, particularly those with humor behind them. It was worse than killing a joke conventionally. To have it killed by its maker?

"Hm." she stated and nodded "I'm not that good with jokes." she added after a moment of quiet, sounding a bit apologetic.

"I don't think I've ever just told one, I just, uh... Work some humor into the situation. It helps when dealing with automaton recruits," Linx responded with a grin. The situation was impossible to avoid poking some fun at. After all, he was not only proving that he seamlessly wove humor into his words but also that he was using it right then.

"Ah, and I'm not that yet." she acknowledged, setting aside her plate. She stretched tiredly, and shrugged "What are ye going te do after breakfast?" she asked.

"I have a little reprieve, actually," Linx responded brightly. "Um... I think I'll just, uh, head back to the house and... I dunno. You wouldn't want to, either." He set aside a significant proportion of his day for recreation. Of course, not every stranger out there wanted to join him in it.

Skye nodded "I wasnae going te ask. Enjoy yerself Linx, and thanks for breakfast, as well as the tour." she stated, standing to excuse herself. She didn't want to keep him from his routine all day.

"All right... Remember, training. Be prepared," Linx advised as he stood up himself, leaving a hefty stack of coins on the table to pay for his food. He never even bothered to look at the bill; it didn't matter when he was going to pay so much extra anyway.

"Av course. And I owe ye for the breakfast." she stated, giving him a nod before leaving the tavern. Now seemed as good a time as any to look over the training grounds. She would be spending alot of time there after all.
