"Err what?" Ellich stood for a ment, then walked over slowly. He looked around the room for a moment. It always was funny that no one ever seemed to be home.

"I said come here. Not the ground in front of me... Here..." Linx patted his chest for emphasis. Apparently, he hadn't stated his desires from Ellich strongly enough. He actually didn't want to do anything serious with the squirrel right then, but it was always a good idea to try and reinforce bonds.

Ellich laughed a little. "Oh thats what you meant." He lay his head on Linx's shoulder gently. "That better than Linx?" He was to busy thinking about lightning to really think of anything else.

Linx imitated a boom of thunder with his voice. It was actually pretty accurate and made even himself feel a bit startled. "Well... I'm kinda cold with no coat on or anything... You're feeling nice and warm today, aren't you?" He put a paw on Ellich's back affectionately.

"I dont think you're cold." Ellich wrapped his arms sround Linx's neck. "Nope, still warm." Ellich closed his eyes. He was content sitting right here, or maybe even taking a nap.

"Well... I'm gonna sleep or something. I'm beat. If you wake up first, feel free to... Do something interesting..." Already, the mouse was drifting off. He lost the will to speak quickly, giving it up for blissful rest. The trek home had been a tough one and he was ready to just sleep.

"Whatever..." Ellich yawned right after talking. He decided to curl up into a ball by Linx however, even in his sleep he still had the thoughts of lightning in his mind, one even including him getting shocked. Even with the occaisional nightmare, he still lay still.

Linx woke up about four hours later. It was dusk by that point and he'd been woken up by a particularly loud clap of thunder; the storm had moved to directly over the fort and partially over the river, and rain was striking against the roof harder than ever. He tapped Ellich a few times to try and get the squirrel awake and off him. "Hey... It's late. We should go, uh... I dunno..."

"Wha..." Ellich yawned then sat up. "Waddya say?" He rubbed his eyes with his paws, then looked out the window. It was still storming. A particiular depressive state seemed to fill around the room.

Linx didn't feel that depressed, unlike Ellich; he was actually happy when it rained. Sitting completely dry in his house, it was obvious to him that shelter from such events was a gratifying feeling and he was ready to enjoy it. "What do you say we... Go over to the kitchen and, uh, get some water going for tea or something?" He propped himself up on his elbows to talk better.

"Sure, I am pretty thirsty." Ellich sat up, then stood to walk into the kitchen. It sounded like some other beasts were upstairs, and Ellich was almost surprised that others were actually home.

"Footsteps up there?" Linx headed over into the kitchen before Ellich could get there, grabbing a kettle off the counter and filling it with a meager quantity of water from the sink. He spoke while doing so. "Uh... What kinda tea do you want? Or... Whatever it is you want? I dunno what you want. I talk too much."

"Eh, whatever your having, strong please. I need to wake up a little after that nap." Ellich stretched, then yawned again, still only half awake. "So who do you think is home?" He looked up to the ceiling again, confirming footsteps.

"All right..." Linx carefully set the kettle on the range before picking from the pile in the corner a large log and thrusting it into the embers of the stove, bringing the flame to life promptly. The kettle began to heat quickly as well, but Linx ignored its speed as he was too busy rummaging through the cupboards and looking through wooden boxes with different labels on them. "Tea stuff."

Ellich saw the kettle warming up fast, and went over to manage it so it wouldn't boil over. "So, did you find it anywhere?" He glanced over to Linx for a second before returning to his watch.
