"Fine..." Ellich said jokingly. He then followed the same action as Linx when discarding the bag. Afterwords followed by another sip. It was still really hot, so he had to drink it carefully.

"Well... I think that water heated pretty obscenely fast, huh?" Linx had been using some dry, hot-burning wood in the stove and his tea was near scalding. He could barely withstand a few drops entering his mouth, even when taking it in with air. "I hate it when it does that."

"Yeah, because then you have to wait even longer." Ellich started blowing air at his mug. It didn't seem to want to cool off very fast. "Ugh... now I have to wait even longer."

"We have to wait even longer," Linx imitated with a smirk while setting his mug down and turning to face Ellich. It looked like they had a few minutes... Again. "I haven't seen you a lot, you know. I mean... Not as much as some other beasts around here."

"Yeah, but I suppose it's your fault isn't it? I love the job you gave me though, it...fills the void I guess." Ellich gently smiled. It was really the first time he had thanked him since getting the job. Sure ours could be harsh, but it was worth it.

"The fact that I pay you like an oar slave doesn't faze you much, does it?" Linx gave Ellich a shrug while glancing at his tea, which was still steaming noticeably. "I mean... You live here. And I pay for just about everything you need, so when you think about it, the pay you're getting?..."

"Exactly, it's almost uneeded in actual coins. It's not like I need much else." Ellich stared at his tea, which was still steaming more than ever. "That tea takes forever doesn't it?"

"I'm surprised the kettle didn't boil over, actually," Linx shrugged again. He turned to look at Ellich with a smirk. If his intentions weren't clear before, they certainly were now; he actually advanced a step towards the squirrel. "I think we'll have to not pay attention to those mugs, for a second, anyway..."

"Oh...well.." It took a while for Ellich to get the point because he was so deep in thought from the lightning experiement. "Oh...err...not now..." Ellich said blankly. He rested his head on his arms, which were crossed across the table. He wasn't in the mood. "I'd rather stare at the mugs." Ellich saiding jokingly.

"Well, that's just a bit depressing, you know? I'm less interesting than a couple mugs? I didn't even wanna do anything serious, come on..." Linx gave Ellich a playfully reproachful look. He could never fathom why a beast wouldn't want to be with him even in a less committal sense than the squirrel might have thought, but that wasn't something he could really argue over.
